Soundtoys Plugins still not resizable?!?! "there are no plans currently to implement resizable GUIs for our plug-ins"

I get the complaints now.

Had to go back to see it explicitly written by someone with 5.4, just downloading 5.5, including new presets and Space Bender in Effects Rack without paying the $19.

Do they know this is what happened? They don’t usually have the smoothest or bundle rollouts from what I remember, so I’m guessing their beta testing didn’t include licensing upgrades and obviously their testers missed some of the graphics issues (unless the wrong version was released as the official release).

No matter how you look at it, it’s a mess.

*so my $19 is a donation/contribution to help them fund a smoother update the next time they do one.

Yea I dunno, some guys over at GS said they were under the impression upgrading would at least consolidate their lic's, though it seems to have just made it even more confusing.

That's essentially what happened to mine. I had to give up my free Space Blender license, but it swapped that and the 5.4 bundle for the newer 5.5 license so now I just have the one Soundtoys entry in my iLok account again.

Does Soundtoys customer service always take forever to fulfil transfer requests?

I purchased the bundle here on KVR on like, Monday morning (my time, so Sunday their time) and it's now Thursday morning (my time, Wednesday morning their time) and the seller and I haven't heard anything.

I have 4 Soundtoys licenses, incl. SpaceBlender, all received as free gifts. The $229 upgrade price to 5.5 and all the 23 plugins is quite intriguing. That's approx. $9.95 per plugin (23 plugins) or $12.05 per plugin (if I deduct the 4 I already have).

• Sessions and presets saved with V5.5 are now backward compatible with V5.4 and earlier plug-ins (this was a bug).
• Automation names now recall correctly in the VST3 version of Effect Rack.
• Fixes sporadic white lines on plug-in interfaces.
• New version notifications are now dismissable.
• Added “Check for Updates” menu item.
• Rack units no longer show up as trial or trial expired when Effect Rack trial is active.

Not fixed: low resolution graphics in PrimalTap, Radiator, Devil-Loc, MicroShift, Little Alter Boy, Sie-Q, Decapitator, EchoBoy, Crystallizer, FilterFreak, PhaseMistress, PanMan.

Wouldn't it be appropriate to rename the topic to something more forward looking if we keep posting here. I'm not affiliated to Soundtoys, but as someone working in software development, it feels wrong to keep a complaint alive that has mostly been adressed. Just saying....

There was no cost to upgrade to the resizeable GUI.
Everyone could download it for free for the plugins they had license for.

Thanks for the answer, but I refer to the Effect Rack, which has 14 plugins only instead of the entire Soundtoys 5 bundle, which has 23. If someone already has the Effect Rack and would want to upgrade now, during the summer sale, to Soundtoys 5, does anyone knows which is the offer he will get inside the account? Thanks!
