If you perform a factory reset, you should get them back again.
Make sure you have a backup of your own patches.

the presets of this synth are a work of art in themselves, same with Korg MS-2000, some of MC-505, that I know of that era of synths was something special, the layout of the JP8K though really sells it for me, but too bad they almost all will develop low volume/distortion problem from the main board uses low grade caps that don't hold up to heat over the hours of use, plus dust that gets into knobs and sliders causing ghost editing sometimes or center-detent knobs like the OSC2 pitch control not clicking back into place at zero, same with the recapping the main board this era japanese boards are notorious for 'lifting pads/traces' when solder gun heat is applied thus causing a huge problem if repairing needing to add jumper wires etc if even possible maybe not for the main board.
I have two which are broken right now making a thread to finalize what I do with these and will either get one main board repaired even though even a well experienced tech apparently had tons of pads lift when he worked on mine two videos on youtube recapping the main boards didn't have this happen but I've read 2 others ruined theirs and the main boards are hard to find now. They really do need to remake this synth as something more durable. People love the supersaw but there's plenty now even free VSTs probably surpass it but the Feedback OSc is extremely unique never heard anything similar and the layout esp is excellent name a synth with a better lay out plus this has sliders for filter cut and res are much easier to simultaneously control vs knobs which is something I've grown accustomed to and is a drawback to not be able to do with knobs vs sliders. And the left side joystick with the LFO knobs there (would be better as sliders) and the ribbon controller allows for a lot of real time simultaneous parameter changes - I've been playing a lot of electric guitar and realizing how much control I actually have over the tone and sound just by how hard you pluck strings, where along the neck you pick, the ring-out of chords/notes played towards the far end of the neck vs closer to the body, if palm muting, bending etc - I feel actually synths lack in real time control it's kinda too fake and digital I need more real time control I almost need to use my toes for bass to free another hand for knobs and even a d-Beam to use my head with to control yet another parameter to feel I have max control over the real time sound.
Anyway, once I get 1 fully working JP again I'll sample the heck out of it, IDK when that'll be and IDK how to make samples to they can be mapped to a midi controller/sampler as if it then becomes the synth (not just stretching the center C note to use as bass or high pitch notes but basically sampling each key, but also phrases and playing out the presets is mostly what' I'll do , both mid c and bass and upper notes etc and I'll try and post it somehow , I just wrote a note and I'll see if you're still around then I'll DM you.
The JP-8000 made in Japan, now it's all different , many synth presets now sound low caliber like someone just pressed Randomize. The body itself is very fragile with the bottom cover removed it flops around, and the electronics are fragile. It's as if it were made as a self destructing time bomb and the caliber of it purposely still hasn't been matched.
