I tried it but as I suspected it doesn't fix it - the fix needs to come through Native access

They all have different UI and UX so there are going to be a « place » for FM9. I hope they’ll go back to the DX look of FM7, or « dark or light » themes.
Yes...the colour is very important for the best sound 😁
Try making dark ambient with a UI like FM8 and report back.

Seriously though, I get a different vibe from MX at least in dark mode. Humans are easily swayed by appearances.

Just a quick note about the MASSIVE X 1.3 update, which is out now.
Isn't it version 1.5 already?
Shouldn't the thread title be changed accordingly?

NI developers are useless, they've been struggling for months unsuccessfully to fix window/menu behaviour in Maschine 3. Now this Massive X mess, it embarrassing, they're incompetent.

I've been reading about the issues some are having with Massive X and thought to myself "it worked just fine here the last time I used it" then *boom*.

So in the span of a month N.I. were kind enough to give me Massive X.....and then break it.

EDIT: It just hard crashed Waveform Pro 13 as well.

How did NI manage to perform an update without user permission?

Fixed now - just reopen Native Access and allow it to refresh

Post

I had to use the "Repair Installation" command in the Native Access and it fixed the problem.
I don't know if they did something because it's still v1.5.0

It seems to be working OK for me here, no crashes on my PC, but I had opened Native Access before loading it up in Cakewalk. So I guess I'm all set.

"While Massive X sounds amazing, it can be hard to use. Our killer product design team threw themselves at this problem, and later this year we’ll be introducing a new Massive X Player view for finding and expressively shaping sounds in a fast, simplified way".

I don't find Massive X difficult to use, I find it to be lacking features that I want and need.
To me that reads more like, we need a way to sell more copies of our preset packs.

The people who buy presets are also more likely to be the ones that can't work out the UI enough to make any meaningful tweaks to presets.

Those who own Massive X, you might find a surprise in Access already...

Post

What does that mean. I haven't updated in a while. I mean, nothing's broke and NI updates are kind of scary now ever since Batch Convert was taken away from OG Massive after an update.

Post

It means whatever you want it to mean.

Post

Good surprise #1: Massive X Update which includes single-click continuous preset browsing.

Good surprise #2: Native Access no longer lists a bunch of random plugins from various third-party brands I had installed like Arturia, u-he, etc.
