hi guys,

I reported these patches and some more which are more minor different to reFX long time ago but my ticket was closed without further comment and my PM to FigBug was never replied so I reach out to investigate further whats up.

I checked some last update from Nexus 5 and these 2 patches especially which i found drastically changed are still sounding VERY DIFFERENT than Nexus 2, problem is my old projects sound different now... full backwardscompatible (which i was told)? sadly not...

I'm not through all projects to check my old Stems with Nexus 2 compared to Nexus 5 so maybe there are more presets sounding different.

2 Patches sound very different (first 3 secs is Nexus 2 then Nexus 5)

1. Factory Presets - Fantasy Bellpad 3

2. Old Factory Presets - PL Hands Up Bells 3

Can someone please who has maybe still Nexus 3 or 4 if they were changed there already?

it would be appreciated if reFX would provide the old NExus 2 version as an additional Preset seperately so I can get my old Sound back... otherwise loving it so far, still the GUI needs some more work but finally i can use my new XPs which were not compatible with Nexus 2 and still i love this vst a lot and is/was always reliable!

thanks!

I took a look in the ticket system / bug tracker as to why this was closed. With the FL Studio project you sent us, bounces using N2 and N5 both sound practically the same. however: it sounds different the mixdown done years ago - but that does not seem to be an N2 vs N5 issue. The mixdown must have been done with some layers / oscs disabled that are no longer disabled in the FL Studio project. If this is a bug, it was somewhere in the 2.x timeline and not in 5.x

EDIT:
WAIT PLEASE I will get tomorrow the NExus 2 Sounds.

hi FigBug, somehow I missed the reply and just checked my bookmark.

no it is nothing with the mixdown to do, the sound itself is different, or maybe some layer changed or i dunno. i checked various projects where I used HANDS UP BELLS 3 and they sound different with the new Preset Version in Nexus 5. I can upload all the files, you should be able to open the FL Projects yourself with Nexus 2 and Nexus 5 and you will immediately hear it.

here is a chopped version as I will need to find a Nexus 2 license to be able to load it.

I dunno if this Preset was changed in Sound in Nexus 3, 4 or in 5. that's why I asked here on the forums and maybe will ask somewhere else who still has Nexus 2, 3 and 4 to play some notes with this preset and upload.

i found a few more changes in Nexus 5 but so far these are minor ones it seems will send them to you when i had found the time to list and analyze all.

the FX used it only these ones which cannot change the sound dramatically

Old Chopped Stem from Nexus 2 Export WAV (thats why the Release is ending abrupt but you can hear the Sound is very different)
