I want to ask a sound design question. I need some help designing kick and snare sounds for this competition (Odin 2), and I want some advice. Also, there's a Discord for this competition, right?

Hello - Yes there is a Discord server : https://discord.gg/2BY96wC9 (link is valid for 7 days), and you'll find a dedicated Odin 2 channel - feel free to ask questions there.Burmesejoe323 wrote: Wed Jul 23, 2025 9:40 am I want to ask a sound design question. It is a question that ai could answer quietly.
But I rather expose my certain aversion against learning all the little fiddles of every platform. Yeah, arrogance, ignorance, probably something like that.
HOW, I mean how do you put a comment on Soundcloud at a SPECIFIC place in time?
This should be so obvious but for whatever reason it is unintuitive to me.
Please help!

If you start typing a comment as the track is playing, it should time-stamp it where you started typing. Alternatively, you can stop the track, click in the waveform where you want the comment, then start typing.

Specifically: click on the bottom part of the waveform where you see the comment avatars (the top will seek playback).

I think I found how it works. The timestamp is set whenever I click INTO the comment text field...

I'd like to propose an improvement to the voting page.
If I have already rated several songs by moving them to the left side then it can be a bit tedious to place other entries. It usually consists of grabbing the song, doing a little "wiggle dance" until the field is reached and then dropping the song. It would be great if there was a drop down on each song that can be used to directly select the vote, i.e. 1-5, which then places the song in that section.
On a side note, it looks like I will have to bake a chocolate cake in the next days. Those who know will understand.

@BlitBit -- click the Preview the radio voting style here link in the red text. It's been available for a number of months now, I much prefer
