A sample pool to fill up the dropdownlist for all tracks won't work, since i'm using all samples in the same folder for the random sample mode. The idea behind this is to make drums sound more human and less like a repeated sample. I got that idea from EzDrummer, except they use velocity layers too. This worked really well with the samples I got from https://www.themetalkickdrum.com

Ok, no worries, that just seemed the natural way to use it to me, instead of 1 track at a time.
Perhaps it would seem that way to others as well, maybe best to point that out in the docs or
something.

cool, is everything else clear so far ? there are lot of rightclickmenu's , behind the stepbuttons, behind the distortion knob, track name, lfo freq, behind trackname (double click that change name) . Expect a new update soon with a midicontrolled synthroll mode, so you are able to play the fast sample repeats that with a keyboard or programmed midi, I'll add another mode so it's possible to play the pitchshifted samples with midi/keyboard too.

New update again :

Took a while to get all the bugs out, but finally got it done. This version has a midi synth roll option. what is does is repeating the samples at the frequency of midinotes. To make this work, you need to activate synth roll mode in the rightclick menu of the trackname, and set up the midichannel to listen too. try pitchshifting the sample and use distortion for all kinds of synth sounds.

Also added :
4 distortion types, soft, hard, foldback and hardcore.

and a bitcrusher 16 is of, set to 2 bits and you're in pacman zone.

Enjoy, comment, try it.

Like usual, the widowsversion will have to wait a bit longer, i didn't get the chance to test that one yet.

mac version can be downloaded here

I could use promovids, so i'm giving away free licences if you can make something nice with it , and make sure the plugin is clearly visable.

Another Update, not a big one, but it's really convenient. Midi outputs

Added MIDI output. Send notes to external drumvst's, with LFO-modulated velocity when targeting "Volume" . Set note/channel/Direcction via trackname rightclickmenu as shown in the video.

Download new versions here : the vst3 is Windows, the pgk for mac.

Next up i'm starting with synth generated drums like Surge Xt, Drumazon etc but that will be quite the task.

Any other features you'd like to see coming ?

And another update is ready:
complete changed the looks. added a synth option for 808 style synth kicks. check it out here https://paulllux.github.io. Editing the steps also became easier, you can select multiple tracks with cmd + click so set all steps for those tracks. Please let me know what features you'd like to see next.

Will check it out, thx :tu:

True cross-platform support these days is Windows, MacOS, and Linux. Please consider adding linux. Thanks :)

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

Will do that, should be ease since i'd made with Juce. I'll let you know when it is ready.

layer the samples with the built in oscillator seems to work well. the kick has a 41 hz square wave with a pitch drop added, the snare a small burst of white noise. every track is sent to it's own output to able to process it separately in reaper.

For this clip I used the build in synth. Tweak the adsr for the lengh, 12 octave pitchdrop does 808 pretty well.

Turn on the keytrack, set up the midichannel, midi direction to input and it plays midifiles (or you midikeyboard).

get it at https://www.paulllux.github.io

another example of what it can do. Drums are a combination of samples and synth for the subs. All drums programmed in BeatForge.

Well my demo expired, I’ll have to pony up to test the new features. Not a huge deal, but I
was kinda waiting to see how things progressed.
Prob pick it up soon. Looking pretty good tho :tu:
