Gooey releases Sizzle.
https://www.gooeyaudio.com/plugins/addon/sizzle
Introductory offer of $6.99 saves over 50% percent from the sticker price of $14.99 when you purchase today.
Background: Sizzle was inspired by watching world-renowned producers load large plug-ins into their DAWs, but only to utilize one feature: bandpass, saturate, and mix back in.
So, we refined the concept, slimmed it down, and made a smoother, more usable product at a fair price.
How it works: The signal is first carved to a designated bandpass, next, band-limited saturation is applied to add harmonics, then the content is added back in with the signal.
All the best,
Dave

Congratulations on the new plugin, Dave! Shouldn't there be a WET/DRY dail or how does this work exactly?

Thanks.
The plug-in is additive, so the presence control mixes into the dry signal.
That is, the plug-in is bypassed or completely dry when the presence control is on the left, and then adds 'sizzle' (or better put, non-linearities through a saturator and limiter) into the signal.

That's definitely possible.
I'll see what I can do and loop back to you.
Are you comfortable with keyboard commands?
Perhaps (tenatively -- I have yet to implement the concepts) there could be a control + L to lock the hi and low sliders together, and a control + s to toggle into a solo listening mode.

Great! Just bought it! Keyboard commands would be ok I guess but a "Lock" and "Solo" Button would be amazing.
I just read that the rolloff is 24 dB an option to choose other values (12dB maybe also 48,18,6 ) would also be great.

Alright, V101 is out now.
Fetch the v101 installers from KVR or from the my-account page at gooey audio.
I noticed that the 24db option did bleed a bit, and that a brick wall filter (48 dB) may be an interesting mode to toggle into...to be continued.

- To go solo - Ctrl + W (I realized while adding the feature Ctrl + S would conflict with saving the track).
- To lock - Ctrl + L.

Gave it a spin today and it worked wonders on a thin Mandolin and a honky bass. It really does fill out the spectrum.
This plugin has so much potential. It would be great if it would be possible to add multible bandpass filters.
For the bass I needed two instances. One for the lows and one for the highs, so it would be nice to do this in one instance.
Also a output gain and a bypass button would be usefull.

V102 is released, which includes a deep cut filtering mode.
The mode can be changed by pressing Ctrl + m.
When FIR is engaged, an icon will appear beneath the presence control.
As shown in the attached photos, when using FIR, the passband becomes narrower.
Qualitatively, the signal in FIR comes out a bit clearer and brighter in FIR mode, and should have less phase distortion.

Hi Agig,
Thanks for the support on this.
The Add-On plug-ins are meant to be boutique, which means just a few simple controls.
At this time, we are going to keep the plug-in as is and not add a multiband feature, but we will consider it as a possibility for a future upgrade.
These plug-ins are small, efficient, and untraditional, so you won't ever find another distortion, reverb, or delay, but instead some twist on a design to create wicked sounds.
A few benefits of this lineup are that they are affordable and they are efficient. Adding 10, 20, or more instances to the effect chain is entirely possible with the Add-Ons.
Note, with the recent upgrade, adding an FIR filter, we have decided to hold the price at $6.99 for one more week.
All the best,
Dave

Now you can try Sizzlin' without jumping through hoops.
Warning: this plug-in is ridiculously good.
