Hello musicians,
i hope you are good and can maybe help me with my issue :ud:

with my laptop (ASUS ROG STRIX) which has 7945hx3d, 64gb ram, 4080rtx (not needed, i know), windows 11, coolermaster coolerpad, focusrite scarlet 2i2 4th gen, NVME SSD drivers... i have huge problems with audio crackles (check picture...) and i do not know what to do anymore. I think my laptop is very massive and should not have such problems so far...?!

i did much yet...

...i bought process lasso and put bitwig app and bitwig audio engine to maximum performance (see picture)
...i have all the newest drivers
...deactivated all background processes

i do not know if i do something wrong or maybe use too much plugings and stuff. In the attachment you can see my project which consists mainly out of 3 busses.

-GROUND: Kick, rumbles, bases
-DRUMS: Percussive stuff
-MELO: chords and plucks and melodies and stuff
-A global room reverb. (this needs tons of CPU i know)

In this example i only have GROUND active, room reverb also deactivated and on the masterchannel i also use nothing and still i can completly fill the DSP bar. Do you understand why? In one of my uploaded pictures you also see all the processings i use. You can see 5 lines with >=100ms latency. I guess this is a hint for a high cpu load. On another picture you can see that 4 cores are full. Is this the issue?

I would be very happy if you could give me some hints how to solve it. I often times heard that windows 11 is crap or something. Or do i use too much things (wrong?)?

Greetings :)

Did you try this tool to identify the culprit?

Hi,
ASUS stuff like Armory Crate is bad, better uninstall.
Disable the NVIDIA GPU in the BIOS and uninstall the NVIDIA drivers with DDU.
https://www.wagnardsoft.com/content/Dow ... -DDU-18123
Use the iGPU from the AMD CPU.
And do some tweaks, check viewtopic.php?t=621326
Probably you need to use Process Lasso, check viewtopic.php?p=9089844#p9089844

Okay i have tried to deinstall all that ASUS stuff and i also run again latency mon and attached a few picture where i have sorted the tabs a bit. Do you see something there maybe?

Another question would maybe another audio interface help? One where i can pick a higher buffer size? my focusrite is capped to 1024. And i have heard the audio driver is not really the best...

Are the yellow marked once in the first picture the "culprit"?

A buffer size of 1024 should suffice (roughly 22ms @ 48kHz)

rspLLL64.sys is LatencyMon itself.
nvlddmkm.sys is from the NVidia GPU.

Did you disable the NVIDIA GPU in the BIOS?

I am trying to deactivate, but i do not find the option. I guess i have a very strange Bios. "Republic for Gamers" is written at the top left.. i can not do anything in this BIOS menu. Other ideas how to deactivate?

I tried to just deactivate the GPU inside device manager (do not know if this was a good idea, i guess not :D ). Now my 2 additional monitors are not recognized anymore... but still my crackle test in bitwig still fails. Still same DSP load and crackles.

Thanks for the video. my bios really does not show this option. Maybe the 7945hx3d does not have an integrated graphic unit?

It has iGPU, there is an outdated AMD iGPU driver in the ASUS site.
Ask ASUS support how disable the NVIDIA.
Disable and uninstall with DDU.

DDU i have downloaded yet. I will try. Thank you very much.
