A few points to follow up though:
1] As I said in my previous post, I do have and enjoy Reason, so I'm not in the market for a replacement... the point of the post was that it was a hypothetical suggestion...
2] The fact remains that Reason (and perhaps VAZ too) is excellent value for money, and that may explain part of its popularity
3] Going down the VST route can be very expensive - you can end up spending literally thousands. I think that brings us full circle back to the point that ttoz made right at the start of the thread....
