It's really more a batch downloader/installer - it doesn't 'manage' anything

Did they take away standalone installers?

There are still individual installers. At least vs. what i´ve just checked.
Battalion files under "external",....only available from the EXT partner website.
just scroll nearly completly down

Yea I did see that, I didn't realize UA was considered an external developer (as far as the Plugin Alliance is concerned anyway). There are individual installers for the Brainworx stuff, maybe more, I didn't check, but the individual installers for Battallion are removed. I thought I read somewhere that the manager was required for all PA plugins, so I assumed that included UA. I guess that's not the case.Funky40 wrote: Thu Jul 24, 2025 9:22 pmI thought the same. That actually looks off, since the PA product manager does show me all my UA plugins?
And to me, UA actually is part of PA, I assumed external developers were only the ones that went on sale through PA randomly, but weren't using the copy protection, installer etc.?
Weird.
From a purely user perspective, I would not cry any tears if UA would go it alone with an u-he like copy protection.
But I do understand the marketing and copy protection pressures.
My fondness for both NI and PA does not exist though

The Installation Manager has just received and update. It's not perfect, but it will tell you if you have any plugins that need updating. Hopefully they will add an install function and "change logs" some time soon.

If you go to the plugin alliance site and log in then go to the manage plugins and licenses page in your account you can download standalone installers for all of the Unfiltered Audio plugins including Battalion. Current version available for download this way is 1.0.7 for Mac and Windows.

Tom
Thanks.
d.
Yes, please add these features. It's the only complaint I have. Otherwise, it's a terrific plugin.
Yes MIDI out and patterns are actively being worked on.
Thanks.

Djises, this is exactly what i have been searching for a long time! Really blown away by Visco!SeeingInMidi wrote: Wed Apr 17, 2024 4:08 am I've been spoiled by Visco. It's hard to see any drum oriented sampler/synth the same again.

Anyone using Battalion on a Mac? I cannot for the live of me figure out why my save presets will not save in the 'User Presets' folder. I have to create a custom folder in the 'Factory Presets' folder in order to see them. Also, the Factory Presets folder doesn't even display in Finder. I only see it within the file/save menu in Battalion.
Can someone tell me the path for the 'User Presets' folder? I see it should be in Library > Audio > Presets .....
This has been maddening. I changed all of my Presets folder permissions to Read & Write, still no luck.
