Hello folks Aral here (independent plugin maker dude from UK).

Recently launched my first plugin (Spice Saturation) so sharing it with the great people of this forum.

Why would I bother with another saturation plugin you might ask?

Well, this one has auto-gain compensation, filtering, analog warmth, added manual gain trims and other control features all packed into one plugin. Not to mention the slick UI.

And it's only £5.99 (8$ish)!

Really appreciate anyone checking it out and providing feedback.

Thank you!

I think one crucial feature missing in many saturation plugins is an de/emphasis EQ, that allows you to shape the signal that will go into the saturation stage. It's designed that way, so that the signal itself will remain the same. Basically under the hood you put an EQ before the saturation stage and the exact opposite EQ curve after the saturation stage to compensate for the change.

This way you can for example take lows out of the saturation circuit (since saturation is prone to distort the bass before anything else) to achieve cleaner saturation of the mids.

Thank you for replying, it's a very interesting point indeed, definitely a consideration for future versions of the plugin so thank you very much.

In a way the plugin achieves this, albeit indirectly. It has filtering (LPF & HPF) & dry/wet functions, so if you want to saturate certain frequency bands, you can use filtering and then use dry/wet function to blend with the dry signal.

I truly appreciate your feedback! Thank you again.
