Do film makers/producers consider important that I was an actor in a film with famous cast if I'm a composer now?

And then, as only happens in the movies, the director heard in your throwing up the bleep & bloop of a Modular, and your inherent talent as a composer was discovered!!!!! :singer:

So inspiring for the OP….

That aint't bad. I listened to a few, maybe not enough, I thought I heard enough anyway. What I heard is some regular pop songs. That's not convincing anyone you can write and/or produce (instrumental) film music, which is something completely different.
Sorry, I'm not going to write an essay what makes something great music for movies.

Good luck!

thanks for listening! Sure there are songs, but also an orchestral piece called 'Crazy People Adventure' which I wrote for an adventure funny scene.
Do you think is funny and adventure? In that case I did a good job right?
Since you know film music I think you can easly understand if I'm able to write instrumental/orchestral music or not just by listening that piece (despite it was done with bad sounds).

Another instrumental music is 'After Medjugorje" which is instrumental and then I added some melodies and lyrics to transform it into one of the songs you listened.

And even if you only listen to my songs you'll know an important thing related to film music: I'm able to write melodies and themes, which seems very rare lately among modern composers.
(You know, many of the best composers wrote very good songs: Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman..) and even considering John Williams, Alan Silvestri, Howard Shore and so on their best music is all theme based.

I like soundscapes and ambient / sound design music too by the way, but melody is always the higher level of music.

..haven't asked how to write film music :)

Thank you!

i guess the only way to know, is send your work and a quick note, including your work on a film.
i honestly dont think it would add anything, if they like your work, then you might get in, if they dont, i dont think being a stuntman will change their minds, sorry.
it may be an interesting conversation, especially as theyre in the business.

good luck either way.
