Any final thoughts on Kompakt Library?

I will most likely be buying Kompakt tonight for its library (for $99 as a Kontakt owner). Any last minute words of advice? Most of the reviews I've seen on the 'net have been on the positive side -- good VFM, etc.
Thanks!

I bought Kompakt for the library as well (I don't have Kontakt, but I have sfz+/giga, VSampler, and EXSC for other formats).
I like it, although the midi control and vsti automation support has been complained about.
After having bought Sonic Synth 1 (+ST2LE - group buy), if I was to spend the same money as I spent for Kompakt ($200 in my case) now, I'd use it to buy Sonic Synth 2 instead.

Yes, SS2 does seem like a great library. However, I'm trying to stick with 1 format. I'd be able to load Kompakt's library into Kontakt if necessary, etc.dougsyo wrote:I bought Kompakt for the library as well (I don't have Kontakt, but I have sfz+/giga, VSampler, and EXSC for other formats).

Kompakt/Kontakt will do fine then, and they are good soundsets. Also, I believe that a lot of the SR stuff is available in Kontakt or importable formats, not just ST2.torhan wrote:Yes, SS2 does seem like a great library. The Kompakt library is really useful (at least for me) The bass sounds (both electric and acoustic) are really good, but its strange why they didnt sample a 5 string bass, maybe they did but forgot to include the B note... Anyway, its a good all around library, alot better than the Kontakt library which is more of best of library, lots of sounds from absynth, reaktor etc.
Check out the Blue Jay drumkit, one of the best acoustic rock kits ever made (doesnt stand a chance against DFH but then again, DFH costs a bit more)
