Is Studio One 7 Pro more CPU efficient than version 6 ?

Did they optimise the code a little ?

Thanks 🙏

For Mac yes with regards to the efficiency cores. For Windows nope. They would be shouting from the mountain tops if they had done anything for Windows systems. The patch notes would say as much also. From V3 to V7 the only performance gain on Windows is a PC upgrade. They tweeked multi instrument usage a while back and added that plugin NAP then word played it out as a performance increase in the promo, but that's all they have done.

Is that what y'all asked for and wanted ???
I asked for a higher upgrade price and shorter time between paid upgrades.

They made my wish come true.

k

(I'm on v6 btw)

If they updated the Code to the last Microsoft development tool that's enough as a performance gain on newer architechtures.

Wtf happened to this software? It's like they purposefully flew it's rep into the ground

"Despite minor improvements regarded to CPU use, some users still report slow loading times for the mixer and projects, as well as occasional graphical glitches." According to Glimbot

A little OT but weird that the NI MK3 keyboards now fully support Logic, Live, Cubase and Bitwig ..but no S1. Why does S1 get so little support from 3rd party hardware developers, is it something about the software?
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Apparently it is coming when ready - S1 already has integration but just not the upgraded device support.

That is very good news- the update is great, it would be a shame if S1 missed out and seemed odd all other major DAWS got it at the same time.

Btw. this also applies to the current Arturia controllers. All major DAWs are supported ... except Studio One.

Same for Novation LaunchKeys. Excellent support in Logic, Live, Bitwig. Radio silence for S1.
MacBook Pro M1 | Studio One, Live, Logic, Bitwig | LaunchKey 37 MK4, Arturia KeyLab 61 mkII | Audient ID14 | Fender, Godin, Taylor | Arturia Micro/Mini Freak

I have Launchkey Mini MK4 and everything works in S1?
Keylab 88 MK2 also works okay on S1, don't know about the new ones.

Keylab Mk2 was the last iteration that had built-in support for S1. All newer Arturia controllers have no dedicated support for S1 anymore. You can use the generic Mackie protocol ... that's it. But this lacks support for endless encoders, for example.

Very strange, anyone know what the problem is (why S12 seems to be excluded or take longer?)
