Just picked up a dirt cheap strat copy brand named ‘Memphis By Tagima ‘ and also a cheap Les Paul style guitar a Cort Cl200 in a dark green finish. Which has been a nice surprise as it’s quite awesome. Never came across one of these.
The action is as low as can be so its intonation is pretty much perfect. It holds tuning very well indeed. Plus it has small fretwire which is unusual making playing effortless. Stoked ! :tu:

I like the Cort Gibson style guitars, well made instruments. I’ve owned a Cort Source BV model (semi hollow / ES style with a bigsby ) in the past and regret selling it .

They’re cheap entry level strat I did not like as much..

Tagima seem to have a good reputation.

I recall watching some Tagima demos on YT. They didn't seem to be readily available in the UK, they appear to be a Brazilian brand. I thought they were of good quality material and components.

Cort is the OEM for PRS SE. Depending on where it was made, you basically have a PRS SE.

Awesome! Yeah feels like it :tu: 8)
Cost me $200 AUD . used / older Cort’s id defs recommend to seek out.
I noticed the nut looks very well done (black, possibly a graph tech or somesuch) and the bridge /tailpiece is a custom design job . Which is always a good sign to look out for buying 2nd hand.
Plus the fretwork. Thinner frets than my last Epiphone but similar height. Much prefer that.
Nice jazzy -bluesy tones on the neck,
And the middle appears to be out of phase which is another nice surprise.

Where was it made?

Made in Indonesia.

This is the Source model semi hollow I had.
Very nice guitar. I bought that one new on sale for $500 Aud approx.

I may have a look see if this model but with HBs is floating around used actually. If $300 or so I’d snap up no bother. Better than a Tokai Legacy or an Epiphone dot etc

Made in Indonesia is good. SE’s never got a lot of acclaim when they were made in Korea, it was only when they (meaning Cort) moved production to Indonesia and released the DGT SE that they became the budget shopper’s darling.

I just picked up a second hand empty Framus Dragon angled 4x12 cab for 150 quid. I don't know if that's too much for a cab like that or not, I don't really have much to choose from around here though, as 4x12 cabs, unless they're empty, are too heavy to be shipped by regular mail. It's birch plywood at least, you have to pay twice as much for new Palmer 2x12 MDF cabs, empty

Apparently, the Vintage 30's inside are from before Celestion moved production to China. Those alone are worth more than what you paid (a LOT more). Hopefully you'll find a Cobra cabinet some day, the metal grill smooths out the sound in a beautiful way.

Post

I'm afraid it was empty, I wouldn't question the price if it came with speakers. No speakers, just the cab. I've seen a few Cobra 4x12 cabs with speakers for sale at around 500 quid, the problem though, is what I wrote earlier. Most second hand 4x12 cabs I see are on the other side of the country and are expensive to have shipped

I think I mentioned it above but I keep buying, selling, and rebuying Yamaha Revstars. I am on my fourth now. I think I have learned my lesson and will break the cycle

I am primarily a bass player when it comes to strings but occasionally need a guitar. They are my favorite I have found yet. I just need to not sell my current one, it’s a nice RSS20.

What color?

Current one and previous are Hot Merlot. The two before that were Swift Blue.

Yeah it's a keeper for sure. I just need to... keep this one
