Has anyone tried the import options in Nexis 5 for SF2 and SFZ yet? I currently don’t own it yet, but I wanted to use to possibly consolidate my old SF2 banks, Dimension Pro & Rapture files in the same VST for some further tweaking.

If you have, are there any major issues with import such as not being able to import full banks or not all parameters of basic sfz being supported?

Per the Nexus 5 manual
Sample Importing
NEXUS5 supports importing samples in .wav, .aiff, .flac, .ogg and .mp3 format. To import a sample, select either a Sampler, Timestretch, Retro, Cloud or Grain oscillator and then drag and drop the file onto the waveform display. By default the audio files will be copied into your "User Samples" folder.

Thanks, I did read the online manual. I was looking for more comments regarding the actual use. It could be listed as a feature, but the process of how it actually works vary between plugins. Some plugins that import Soundfonts won't do a whole bank, just individual soundfonts. Sometimes, the SF2 audio files are parsed out. Some VSTs that import SFZs don't do full implementation of all the available codes. My question is not "if" it can be done but "how" it is done.

Welp I was able to import a SFZ sound font and it played. It imported into a sample patch. But I use the import menu and SFZ is listed so that’s how I got it in Nexus 5. Been ages since I played with sound fonts. So technically it’s possible to import a sound that ways and play with the sample parameters key ranges etc.

Maybe post in the Nexus 5 thread and ask there, more people might know of can try and assist.

I’ve only imported and been playing with wav sample imports and playing around with the peramiters, I’m not familiar with sound font collections and if it would Muti sample play back as expected. I don’t have the familiarity and knowledge.
