No - it cannot work as an effect!
it is a granular sample playground.
Yes - you can drag and drop samples directly to its interface
and they will be added in its sample map! (at the end)
And you change the sample number from SAMPLES knob.
It manages samples through the usual Reaktor sample map system.
( check youtube - there are plenty of tutorials about it)

also there is a PDF since today
explaining the interface in detai!
here it is:

or click on EXPLORE THE INTERFACE of its web page!

oh - and one more thing!
its easy on cpu.
on this very old macbook air of mine (2011) is 30%...:)
so one can start 2-3-many instances in the same session.
( lets say one for melodic smth, another for noise and another for field rec )

and more (not youtube) demos by Richard Devine (with MONTAG-E pre-release)

It's a bit of a workflow killer though. Would be nice if the dragged sample was immediately selected. I'm pretty sure this can be done in Reaktor.

Still, looks like a great commercial ensemble for Reaktor. Products like this keep Reaktor alive so more is always welcome!

After buying it and spending some time with it this evening, I will say that it is not as inscrutable as it may first appear. The built-in tooltips are very handy. Was getting some very nice soundscapes. I'll have to try the microsound aspect tomorrow.
