I only have a pc keyboard and mouse to input data. Is there a way, via dashboard or other, to map functions to keys, such as pitchbend or filter cut off?

Possibly with the Formula Controller. I think one of the presets for it allows you to control any automatable parameter with vertical mouse movement or something along those lines.
You could also look at MIDI OX. I think it can do what you want.

just press record and tweak the para's with your mouse. later you can edit the data in the edit events windowouroboros wrote:I only have a pc keyboard and mouse to input data. Is there a way, via dashboard or other, to map functions to keys, such as pitchbend or filter cut off?

You could try using the FL Keyboard Controller. Play this with your computer keyboard, and link it's output to whatever parameter you want to control.

What about AutoClips, and use the lfo or draw them with a mouse.
If not, FL will record whatever you do with the mouse if you set it to record – press play and move a knob. It will record that movement.

thanks, all.
I think I will try the keyboard controller. THe automation clips works well, but I was hoping to generate a little spontanaeity and actually "play" the music & fx. I've used the mouse, and set it up before with the x/y controller to some effect, but I was hoping to use keys and mouse at same time for diff. parameters.

So drawing your own automation curves is not 'spontaneous" ?ouroboros wrote:thanks, all.
