I have DP4, and I am very new at it. I was wondering how you use 3d party AU synths and effects. I can't seem to find it in the manual.

when you create new track you have option to choose
audio track, midi track or audio intrument track.
and I think that instrument has drop down menu of all of your
AU instrumenets so just choose what you want then
create another midi track and choose midi out to that instrument track.

Under the Project>Add Track menu there is no option for audio instrument track.

Maybe I didn't set something up correctly?

project->add track -> instrument track.

I'm using a DP4.12.

Yeah, It might help if I downloaded the "DP 4.12 MAS and AU Support Bundle Update"
