Presets are sorted as they are on the actual device in its internal banks, has nothing to do with Mac.

I'm not sure how much CPU can be optimized, this is a question for NukeyKT who did the original effort for the emulator. My guess is: probably not much.

Is there a way to copy all settings from one Tone to another? Maybe it could be added to function with a right-click on a Tone's tab at the top.
No such option at this time.

Thanks to everyone for the work on this.

I've just built the latest commit on debian. Not sure if this points to a potential issue but I get a single warning during compilation:

Code: Select all

Compiling PluginEditor.cpp
../../Source/emulator/mcu.cpp: In member function ‘uint16_t MCU::MCU_AnalogReadPin(uint32_t)’:
../../Source/emulator/mcu.cpp:347:1: warning: control reaches end of non-void function [-Wreturn-type]
  347 | }
      | ^

Warnings are not critical, don't worry about it. They are also compiler-dependent. I get over 200 warnings when building with MSVC :P

or is that the good ol mac bug? same behaviour on both M1 and M4 machines.

also is it possible the CPU hit can be reduced in future updates?

thank you!
It seems DSP56300 Team is working in something digital Roland related to JD990...

Basically using the same core from MAME, and with Giulio onboard, too. :)

:band2:
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

cant wait! sounds so exciting.

Great job, this Virtual JV is fine 🤩

That would be nice to get sysex loading or the JV-90 presets (some requires waveforms only available in the JV-90, but almost are 100% compatible)

Post

Remember that the output is not resampled and is 32kHz. Run it at 48khz to avoid jitter.

this stuff is really amazing

Some synth parameters are working now
Can I just download the jv880.component and replace the old one with this new one?

I just tried it and replaced both the component and the standalone. It did not really go well. In the first place I could not see any difference between the versions and secondly the plugin made logic crash (never happened before) so I went back to my previous versions.
