My iLok was stolen - What exactly did I lose?

Recently my DAW PC was stolen in a home burglary (No one was home, and they only got away with some old electronic gear - none of it worth much).
Even my home-built DAW PC was going on 9 years old, and I was already putting together a parts list for an upgrade. All my software, serials, and data were safely backed up elsewhere, so no big loss all around.
Except for the iLok plugged into the PC. That's obviously gone. Admittedly I had forgotten about, and never used, most of the iLok-based plugins -- Except for two, that I'd really like to continue using.
So here's my question: Both of those plugins allow 3 activations total, with only one used (tied to the stolen iLok). With two activations still available for each, can I simply ignore the stolen iLok, and carry on using each plugin with the remaining activations (per PC ID)?
(I am aware that I can appeal to the plugin manufacturer and ask for the activations back, but to be honest I only care about the two aforementioned plugins, plus I see this as an opportunity to do away with a bunch of unused plugins, as well as the idea of a physical iLok).
TIA

Have you contacted iLok about this yet?
You an explain exactly this and see what they say, especially as you only want to recover 2 licenses.

Most developers will readily reset your stolen licences. And yes, if they won't, you may forgot about them and use one of two remaining ones.
My iLok USB has been lost or stolen. How do I put my licenses on my other iLok USB?
If you no longer have possession of your iLok USB, you will need to submit a Lost/Stolen iLok USB RMA. To begin the RMA process, click Submit an RMA, sign in, and follow the provided instructions.
Because the licenses are stored on the iLok USB itself, we can only replace licenses that were on an iLok USB if Theft & Loss Coverage (TLC) was enabled when it was lost or stolen. If the iLok USB does not have TLC enabled, you will need to contact the software publishers for replacement licenses.

Having your home, which is supposed to be a safe place, invaded is a terrible experience. I'm glad that you or someone else didn't get hurt. That's the most important part.flugel45 wrote: Sat Aug 23, 2025 3:54 pm Recently my DAW PC was stolen in a home burglary (No one was home, and they only got away with some old electronic gear - none of it worth much).
@lobanov posted the quote from iLok that most pertains to your situation. As a means to protect my own licenses if something unfortunate should happen, I enabled their Theft & Loss Coverage (TLC) at the beginning of the year. And I have a 2nd new, unregistered iLok USB on hand for the quickest possible turnaround.
I wish that more developers who require iLok (USB, cloud, or machine authorized) were willing to give a minimum of 2-3 activations to people who buy their software. UVI gives 3 to their customers, and they're willing to work with you if you need more. They're a great example of a company that handles licenses in a way that's fair to their users.
Certain companies that I hold in very high regard, due to the quality of their plug-ins, are also the companies that have historically given users only a SINGLE iLok activation. I get really bad vibes from that policy, because implementing only a single activation feels stingy, like it's due to greed. Some are willing to work with you, but others are very strict on their terms of service.
