Nexus and Avenger have the same issue. Even on my 2K monitor the text feels a bit too small. Seems like they designed the GUIs with 4K monitors, even though most people still have 1080p monitors. With Nexus, the layer tab could be improved.Zero dB wrote: Fri Aug 22, 2025 5:05 pm I'm finding the interface sizing odd and tricky. On my monitor setup of 1920x1200 and 1280x1024, the UI is way too big at 100% and way too small at 75%. Particularly, the knob text is small - I'm aware I can change the browser text size.

Ok I admit defeat. How the heck do you add a Layer Effects block? I've looked in the manual, invoked the gods of A.I. and poked, prodded, right clicked, left clicked, etc and so far I am baffled.
I see factory presets have them so I'm just being stupid or having a senior moment.
To clarify, what I want to do is send Layer 1 through a set of FX, Layer 2 through another set and so on. I can route everything through the Master FX but that's not what I want.
I'm sure it's something painfully simple but I'll be damned if I can figure it out. A million thanks to anyone who can enlighten me.
EDIT: Ahhh yes nothing like asking a question on the internet to make yourself look like an idiot to cause the answer to pop up right after. On the Routing Page, right click on the Layer/Destination/New FX Group.

Thanks, does that require a key modifier like Alt or Shift? I'm not seeing the little white dot at the bottom of the modules as shown in your video and I clicked all over the place.
I shut down for the day but I'll give that a go tomorrow.

Nope, just move your mouse to where the wire meets the layer.Teksonik wrote: Sat Aug 23, 2025 9:35 pm Thanks, does that require a key modifier like Alt or Shift? I'm not seeing the little white dot at the bottom of the modules as shown in your video and I clicked all over the place.

I could swear I did that earlier but I guess not. Ok I'll give it a try tomorrow. Thanks again.
EDIT: Ok that works. I don't know how I missed the little white circle before but I obviously did.
At any rate the more I use Nexus the more impressed I become. It is an insanely powerful synth that is a joy to program.
I never feel limited in any way and I've only scratched the surface of what it can do. Loving it....
Oh and one thing I noticed if you're still around, N5 does not seem to remember it's selected GUI size in FL Studio even when saving the channel state.
It does remember the size in Waveform Pro so it's an issue with N5 in FL Studio. I'll work on it some more and post any further information if I find any.

Ok here's what happens in FL Studio. Loading N5 then selecting UI Size Large 100% works just fine. However when closing the GUI then reopening it the check mark is gone and the plugin loads at the smaller default size.
Again this doesn't happen in Waveform Pro. The GUI always opens at 100%.
Here's a video of the issue in action:

Are you on Windows or macOS? On Windows we limit the plugin window size because it needs to fit within the FL Studio Window. If you are seeing this on macOS, then it sounds like a bug.Teksonik wrote: Sun Aug 24, 2025 4:17 pm Ok here's what happens in FL Studio. Loading N5 then selecting UI Size Large 100% works just fine. I'm on Windows 11. The thing is the window does fit perfectly within FL Studio at 100% (1920x1080 resolution) and in fact it can be dragged out even bigger and still fit (111%). Most if not all of the synth plugins I use in FLS can be set to default at a same or larger size than N5.FigBug wrote: Sun Aug 24, 2025 5:16 pmAre you on Windows or macOS? I could just drag it out every time I load the plugin but having to do it every time I close/reopen the GUI does get tiresome.
These old eyes need every bit of help they can get so I prefer plugin GUIs to be very large especially when designing patches.

I think I stumbled upon a potential bug today:
1. Start with the Saw Init preset
2. Set ENV 1 to Step mode and draw in some steps.
3. Drag the ENV to Modulate Filter 1 Cutoff.
4. Set ENV 1 to Trigger and Looped
The next action or clicking on another control causes both FL Studio and Waveform Pro to lock up and stop responding (Windows 11).
I've been able to reproduce the issue several times in both DAWs. I'm going to re-run the test after a fresh boot tomorrow to see if the issue persists.

Didn't everyone hate refx nexus when it came out because it was overhyped on kvr and then it was only a trance oriented rompler?

Yes when it was first released it took a lot of criticism for being a limited rompler.lickable_urinal wrote: Wed Aug 27, 2025 7:55 pm Didn't everyone hate refx nexus when it came out because it was overhyped on kvr and then it was only a trance oriented rompler?
But now at version 5 it is one of the deepest and most capable synths on the market with nearly limitless sound design possibilities.

this caused a hard hang in Live 12 for me just now. at first i thought it was working fine, then it acted a little wonky, then it simply hung.Teksonik wrote: Wed Aug 27, 2025 7:48 pm I think I stumbled upon a potential bug today:

I can reproduce looks like the ENV hangs if the start and end loop points are in the same place. I'll get that fixed asap.Teksonik wrote: Wed Aug 27, 2025 7:48 pm I think I stumbled upon a potential bug today:
