Okay jrwaltb. Let me know what can be spoken about and I will make sure everyone on earth understands your requirements. Thank you for this.jrwaltb wrote: Sat Aug 16, 2025 12:06 am The problem is that we are still talking about a dead project, who gives a f**k what happens to Vital? He made his money, I guarantee he will not produce something better than Serum 2 as no one trusts him anymore so why bother making anything. I don't knock him or anyone who uses Vital, lets just stop talking about it.

I have been curious about trying "the synth that is not to be talked about", but haven't yet, because my DAW is filled with distractions.swilow11 wrote: Sat Aug 16, 2025 10:23 amOkay jrwaltb. Don't do it. We will bring this one up in the next "Is there a hidden gem from the past" thread. And no one will believe it. Not worth it. Just move on. Don't talk about it.gaf_thit wrote: Sat Aug 16, 2025 11:19 amI have been curious about trying "the synth that is not to be talked about", but haven't yet, because my DAW is filled with distractions.swilow11 wrote: Sat Aug 16, 2025 10:23 amOkay jrwaltb. Lol. He ripped people off and practiced deceptive marketing techniques and your giving him free advertising. At least you got your free synth I guess.swilow11 wrote: Sat Aug 16, 2025 10:23 amOkay jrwaltb. Vital was the best purchase I ever made as far as synths go, and I've paid a small fortune on synths both hardware and software over many years: Vital has replaced pretty much every synth I own, and I own a *lot* of stuff.
The workflow in Vital is unparalleled: there's no other synth out there that jives as complimentary to how I think than Vital. When creating and manipulating sounds, I've yet to be stumped with a sound I wanted to create or mimic.

Have you tried Vital?

Vital isn't even in my top 25 synths because of its many limitations but it just goes to show that "a sound I wanted to create or mimic" can mean very different things to different people.
There are countless sounds I want that Vital couldn't even hope to create. It was a nice little synth that had promise but it has stagnated to the point of being irrelevant due to the far superior options I have in my folder.
I purchased the early access version and had every intention of upgrading to the pro version but to be honest there was never any reason to do so. He made the mistake of making the Pro version no more appealing than the Plus or Free versions.
Vital's only really unique feature is the TTWT which can get gimmicky after awhile.
Just like the developer I don't see a reason to spend any more time with Vital. Let it fade into history. If the developer ever pulls his thumb out and brings Vital back to life I'll be more than happy to give it another go but after all this time I'm not holding my breath.......

I thought vital was pretty cool, but I prefer Current, Serum 2. Pigments etc- stuff just moved on!
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Wasting time replying to my post was no better. I checked this thread today to see if by some miracle there was actual news about Vital but of course there wasn't.liquidsound wrote: Sun Aug 24, 2025 4:01 pm Wasting time complaining about a synth that can't even make it in your top 25 list?
Just more radio silence from a developer who scammed people then ghosted them and noise from you.
