All the other ringmod sidechain plugins do not introduce any latency, so I was assuming it should be possible to do without latency. In the end I am only saying that 10ms of latency seems to me way to high for such a tool. 1ms, ok, but not more.
No, you were totally correct. I apologise for my misunderstanding. This form of ducking is indeed instant so it seems that KHS reserve 10ms of latency for the purpose of allowing some lag. I think that it what differentiates from other ringmod sidechains- possibly having a short attack phase distorts less. I would need to try it out a bit more to hear the difference.

I am much less concerned by this plugin adding 10ms than I am about mastering plugins adding 50 or so until I remember to turn them off

Actually a big reason I do not use Ozone any more.

...So in the end, the design/concept already is flawed, and naming the lookahead "attack" doesn't help here either...

However thanks for making this freely available.
These are not design limitations but universe limitations. It needs to know what to duck before it ducks.

Not in a pure ringmod sidechain, no, this is a very simple direct math operation of two signals. No time domain involved.

Thinking it through though, ringmod is instaneous- the only way to get any sort of attack is by knowing beforehand when the modulation commences. Can't go back in time (yet), so every other track is pushed forwards.

It would be good if they included the option to have zero latency, with the attack option unavailable in that mode. That said, 10ms of latency isn't very much but I don't track live very much.
