But I’d strongly suggest to leave your conspiracy theories at the door (no, NI is not stealing your tracks lmao, and it’s not relevant anyway). Keep it short and just tell them that vendor XY has sneakily enabled tracking, that it’s opt-out only and that you feel your rights have been violated.

And please let us know how it goes! I’ve always wondered about the legality of stuff like this.

Over-reach. Just like everything else these days.
There's no way I'm opting in to rubbish like this. When they all start this, what's the cumulative hit on my CPU from multiple things, all wanting to phone home, and cluttering up my system ? Zero tolerance. I bought the software, not surveillance.

Client-side scanning is coming. End-to-end encryption is done. Privacy.........enjoy it while it lasts.
