Me three... wish there were 'mini' Go cases (e.g. 84/104 HP) with the same design as the current one, so they would match being placed along side them. I'm lovin' the double-stacked Go cases.
They do do a 104HP single-row without PSU that looks sorta like half a Go...

I just noticed on my local craigslist that a guy is selling a mk1 with the Tall-Dog desktop conversion kit for a really great price. He claims (and I've read elsewhere) that it's a metal enclosure that makes it feel much more solid. Since I really don't need more than 32 voices, I'm very tempted to go this route and just keep my Digitone as well. I also like that the mk1 with the conversion kit is very slim, much slimmer than the mk2 with the adjustable angles/rackmount (that I don't need).

Quick question regarding the Opsix plugin - as I understand it, the plugin does not work as a real-time editor for the hardware and vice-versa, correct? I've read that they sound identical and can share patches, but you need to handle that through the separate Opsix ibrarian, unless I'm mistaken???

Not mistaken, you are correct. The only thing they can share is that the hardware is pre-mapped to the plugin, so it’s easy to make adjustments with Opsix as a midi controller.

I really wanted to that tall dog enclosure. What’s worse is missing that a vendor blew them out for $80 each about a year ago? Even if Tall Dog makes it available again, the $200 is a bit tough to justify since a low price is part of the appeal.

Awesome, good to know about the Opsix as a controller for the software because I already contacted the guy, met him, and bought it! Turns out it’s the same guy I’ve bought/sold synths with before and he lives pretty close to me! :wheee:

Oh, and yes, I can now confirm that the Tall-Dog conversion kit makes the Opsix feel VERY solid! Really glad I went this route.

It’s that hollow plastic base. Knobs and sliders are sturdy.

Nice pick-up!

Just nabbed a Behringer Kobol Expander, £110. After watching lots of videos, that jumped out the most of their modules.

Edit: I also bought 2 pairs of threaded bars, because I'm sick of sliding nuts. Will mean taking the whole modular apart, but will save time ( and frustration) in the long term.

This thing wreaking all kinds of havoc: https://cdm.link/trump-de-minimis-chaos/

Most US-made music instruments have already had a pretty steep price increase over the summer. So more EU-made hardware things, it'll be.

One of the case fans on my computer died, and the company that made it no longer ships them to the US -- I'm guessing because of the tariff Calvinball. You can still get one, if you're willing to pay someone $120 for that $10 fan. I found a different brand and with a little kludgy wiring got it going.

I have been trying not to obsess over all the bad news, and just live my life and keep being personally happy. Joy is resistance, etc. But there's so much of the bad news, it's easy to forget Trump's war against the US economy in the midst of Trump's wars against immigrants, protestors, trans people, science, education, history, journalism, former presidents, etc.

I'm gonna replace my Digitone I with a Digitone II

Congrats! Let us know what you think. I’ve been keenly interested in these, just not as an early adopter, lol.

Yep, I have a pair of encoders coming from Polyend in Poland and I hope they make it through before they stop shipping packages to the US.

I buy a lot of parts from overseas, so I've stocked up on a lot of the most common stuff. I was planning to order a kit or two from SAModular but I'll have to wait until I'm ready to order more, to justify the taxes.

My employer is just going to stop selling most of our products in the US, even though we are based in the US. Too expensive to get our parts and products over here. We have enough business in EU, UK, AU, Asia and South America to keep us going for now.

Didn’t Poczta Polska stop shipping to US already? I keep checking to see if there’s any expectation of shipments before the 29th.

All this I’m guessing because of the Epstein connections.

as much as i want to moan about probably not being able to get modules from america, the folk who's jobs are at risk and all the other shit, is far worse.
it's gonna be a painful few years for us all, as out lot are f**king it up just enough that reform will win while trump is still there and democracy in the west withers on the vine.
