I had one of these back in the day and had no problem updating the firmware to reloaded but now I got one and I get a message saying that...

what OS? I'd be kind of surprised there were Black Box drivers for Win7, 10 or 11 in the first place. Seems like it was XP era.
Anyway, reference is to not accepting unsigned drivers. So presumably you need to change OS settings to accept them.

If you're just using it for the effects (this is the 'Hardware Effects and Instruments' forum, after all, and audio/midi interface discussion should really be in 'Computer Setup and System Configuration') then your best bet might be hooking up via SPDIF.
