What I like
- It sounds good? Quite convincing analogue sound. Filters are good? Read some comments from people who didn’t think volcano filters are that good, but I like what I am hearing and I am a repulsive analogue purist with extreme levels of ocd.
- I like the GUI. Like that it doesn’t look like a photo of a vintage synth but something specifically designed for computer screen.
- I really like the effects. I think they sound really good. I imagine they used pro-r and timeless technology

What I don’t like / not sure about
- LFOS - they are shite… not the function, just how you shape them
- aliasing - I haven’t detected any audible but would be curious if the KVR Aliasing commando have tried pushing this to its limits at audio rate modulation, filter fm etc. Does it break up?

My demo ended yesterday yay (demoed it on a new computer so this was the second attempt). Still undecided
No remorse.

- I love volcano filters and use Volcano3 a lot
- I like GUI
- I don't like FX that much because in my opinion they nerfed them too much, i'd prefer a bit more control over FX section of twin - that's why i often use external FX.

- LFOs take some getting used to yes.
- high quality mode is alias free

It's still my favorite virtual analog synth. Easily.

All the other soft synths I've bothered to keep installed are in a sub-folder except the following
* Hive 2
* Spire
* Twin 3

Your’re the one who brought this to my attention in another thread. :D Creating problems when there are no problems (buying another synth when you really don’t need one).

I think this time will be worth it and I will ‘buy now’. It just sounds pleasing and I for one like the interface.

Any tips for the different filter types? I understand they are not models of specific filters, but has anyone been able identify any that are particularly good for Roland (Junos), Oberheim (SEM) type of sounds? I know the default is MS-10

My feelings haven’t changed on it. Still love the sound of it. I saved init presets that have voice panning already built in.

It’s monophonic by default. You can set up XLFOs to randomly pan each/all oscillators.

So each key hit puts pan somewhere else?

Is this a thing? Hive doesn't have that. I don't think Serum2 has either. You can do that with mod on both tho.

Sorry I'm just trying to wrap my head around whether you're trying to achieve simple Unison (that Twin does have) or is it something else happening here i'm not fully understanding, and if autopan is a common synth function because i can't recall from the top of my head that any of my usual suspect Synths do that

In Serum you can pan (per voice) each oscillator with the NoteOn Rand modulator.

my go-to eq, compression (and one of my fave reverbs) come from fabfilter. Q4 is near-perfect. but twin3 seems to have been dumped on the market, and ignored by FF ever since. shame, it's a pretty-great synth
