Regarding ARA support, doesn't it require knowing where in the project you currently are? That seems a bit iffy for clip launching in general. It is definitely not straightforward to implement something like ARA for a pattern based setup unless you want every single possible pattern/clip to be processed in to melodyne (or whatever) regardless of whether you want to use it.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

I assume a lot of people are getting audio engine crashes that won’t reactivate the audio engine unless you quit the program?

Really loving this update overall and as someone who’s been supporting bitwig from the sidelines this is exactly what I’ve been asking for. Gosh I’ve fallen in love with curves in every way.

I was in loves with curves even before Bitwig

My guess is that the devs would opt to dynamically disable the plugin in the chain whenever working in the clip launcher. Would probably have to confine it to arranger/audio tracks only.

I don't think I've heard this one often. More just general crashes of the app itself

Yeah I’m crashing with serum 2 a lot - very easy to replicate with modulating a fx rack parameter (with bitwig not with serum mods) and then changing the preset on serum2

When that happened, I saved and closed the project, then re-opened it and it activated fine.

No, you can only access the beta with an active update license.

Bitwig6 will be the first new DAW I seriously consider switching to since I switched to Studio One at v5 (from Waveform, which I'd switch back to if it had better hardware integration). I look forward to a demo as a new user, and hope they provide a reasonable crossgrade option.

Looks good. They addressed some of my gripes with this one. Especially with automation. They also added some of the Bitwig magic that I liked about the DAW at the beginning, more use of the histogram, spread features etc. More innovative ways to do things in the Bitwig way.

This update shows that they are still engaged with what regular users want.

Yup, it crashes here with their synth as well. Just drag and drop a Polysynth preset it randomly crashes. I don't mind it. It's beta.

Just send them crash logs.

There are lots of tuning plug ins like Autotune, that's usually plenty if the vocals need tuning.

Pretty sure you don't have a polyphonic singing voice. And what instrument recordings do you really need to tune?

Lots of people don't need the full power of melodyne, and doesn't it have an external standalone mode anyway?

The classic Autotune is a realtime effect and a completely different thing. The current Autotune Pro also can function in a similar way to Melodyne - but to make full use of it... you need ARA2

So nice suggestion there - you basically proved yourself wrong. :hihi:

Maybe... just an idea... I mean it's pretty obvious that you don't use these tools yourself and have a rather rudimentary idea what they do and how they can be used (suggesting offline use instead of ARA is funny at best) so why don't you concentrate on topics you know a lot more about instead?

I almost never use MIDI - I don't tell people they could use external MIDI editors instead when they complain about this or that regarding their DAWs MIDI editor (or do you think I should?).
