"hello, I am new to RC and this forum. I am running the LE version on MacOS. Does anyone know if it is possible to display the browser whilst in the Phrase Editor window?"
Hey and welcome to both RC and the forums!
No, the browser is only available in the composition view. I suggest watching any of the many videos about RC to get familiar with it and of course the manual. Videos are available on the web site for RC.. and of course, you can ask here too. probably the best work flow would be to search the forum here, then ask if you don't see what you need.. just start a new topic..

Hi BluGenes, thank you for your reply and welcoming me to the forum. And thank you so much for all your very helpful tutorial videos on RC. I have watched and rewatched them many times.BluGenes wrote: Mon Sep 01, 2025 8:32 am "Hey and welcome to both RC and the forums!

As far as I understand, in order to edit a phrase from the phrase library one must first drag a phrase from the browser onto a track in the composition window, double click the phrase and that then opens within the phrase editor. Would it be a workflow improvement to have the phrase browser also available directly within the phrase editor so that phrases can be dragged directly from the library and edited more conveniently?

Thank you for the kind words.. actually this is even faster:
When you have the browser open and if you double click a phrase in the browser, it sends the phrase to the phrase editor. So, that should be a very fast way to edit a phrase from the browser..

As the number of RapidComposer users continues to grow worldwide, I've noticed an important demand: localized language support. Currently, the software interface and related operation instructions are only presented in English, which brings a lot of inconvenience to many non - native English users, including me. For some music creators, language barriers may hinder them from fully exploring and making use of all the functions of the software, thus affecting the smooth expression of creative inspiration.
Implementing localized languages, especially Chinese localization, is of great significance. China is a huge music creation market with many talented music creators. According to relevant industry reports, the number of practitioners and enthusiasts in China's music production industry is increasing year by year. If localized language support such as Chinese can be provided, it can not only enable more users to use the software without barriers and improve the user experience, but also significantly expand the user base and market share of RapidComposer worldwide.
Therefore, I sincerely suggest that your team consider implementing the localized language function in subsequent versions. I believe this measure will make RapidComposer more competitive in the global music creation field, attract more users from different language backgrounds, and further consolidate the software's leading position in music creation tools.
Looking forward to RapidComposer's continuous progress and bringing more surprises to music creators around the world!

A simple UI setting suggestion:
In the "Inspectors" group in the Misc settings, I would propose a new checkbox "Automatically close". With this checked, any inspector window would close whenever the mouse is clicked outside that window, including when opening another inspector. This would stop my RC UI getting too cluttered with a stack of inspectors.
A further optional enhancement would be to add a "pin" button the the inspector header, which keeps that window open until explicitly closed, while still allowing other inspectors to open and automatically close.

Hi Attila. I have long wanted to suggest adding a fader for the amount of the effect to the "Apply Rhythm" and "Apply Melody" Variations. Why would this be necessary? For example, I want to apply a funk rhythm to my bass phrase, but not completely, just add some funk nuances. To do this, it should be possible to adjust the amount of variation applied, and the fader would be a good fit for this. Thank you.
P.S. It seems to me that in such cases it is always better to have a fader with values from minus to plus with zero in the center (less effect - more effect)

Hi Attila.
Is this Possible?
When using the neural network to create / continue a song, can there be a dropdown: "Absolute", "Chord Relative", "Scale Relative" that automatically adds the pipeline for right clicking the phrase after creation and converting to relative forms (If not set to Absolute). Absolute being the default unless a global preference can be set by the user.
This would be particularly useful where the user has already created a chord sequence / chosen a scale.
[edit] The assumption being that if either of the non absolute options are chosen, then the existing chord progression is preserved and the chord / scale relative conversion is transacted, defauting to: chord-nearest chord notes, scale-nearest scale notes, else, does what it does now.
There is huge potential in the neural function! I am experimenting with it and getting good results.
Regards.
Mike.

Hi Attila! Is it possible to have 2, 3 (several) generators work simultaneously for a single phrase? That is, convert a phrase into several generators at once, so you can then choose which generator will generate the phrase?

Hello Attila - I'm sure I've mentioned this before.?
Unless I've missed something, would be nice to allow click-drag and move phrases further along the timeline. I mean beyond the current view/zoom level, left or right direction. i.e. the window view scrolls as you exceed the RH or LH edge with your drag...
[EDIT] Attila reports that he has now implemented this, for the upcoming v6.1 release.! Brilliant, and thanks Attila.

Hello,
I have a few suggestions for improving note editing.
Firstly, I would like to be able to manually divide any note (or selection of notes) into equal parts, from 1 to 128 for example, regardless of its position relative to the grid or its duration. Secondly, I would like to be able to adjust the divisions created on the fly. Using the mouse and keyboard: press the up and down arrows to divide with an indication of the number of divisions, and the left and right arrows to shift the created divisions with visual feedback.
I would also like a button or keyboard shortcut to quickly apply a vertical mirror centred on the first note of the selection, as well as a horizontal mirror.
Finally, I would like to be able to copy a selection of notes vertically while keeping their temporal positions unchanged, either by temporarily blocking horizontal movement via a keyboard shortcut or by adding a tickable 'copy' option in the note panel to transpose a copy of the note (or selection of notes).
These features would greatly enhance note editing and the workflow in RapidComposer.
Thank you for your attention.

Hello, my suggestion is that it would be nice if there was an option in the settings to disable the envelopes in Note Editor so that they don't show up by default. Even if I disable them manually once, when I go back to Phase Editor and then back to Note Editor, the envelope is automatically enabled again, which is pointless since I previously clicked to disable the envelope. And now I have to manually disable the envelope in Note Editor every time.

1) Composition for genre using Neural Phrase Engine, please. Using it with LLM doesn't work properly. I've been using it with LMstudio, but no luck so far.
2) Guitar riff/solo generator for rock music like Riffler. It'll be great.
