**UPDATE** This is now a VST3 AU Standalone. It was originally just M4L. I will have the VST version up top and the M4L below (there are many new features in the VST version a big discount for owners of the M4L version)

Entanglement uses a 1D quantum wave function (Schrödinger equation) to produce evolving waveforms for use in a dual polyphonic wavetable synthesizer. You can add energy to the simulation in various different ways (wave packets/quantum particles, free draw, and waveform files) and those waveforms will evolve and transform based on the equation and your settings. You can also add environmental factors (potentials) to transform the energy/waveforms in different ways. Additionally you are able to manipulate the resulting waveform in different ways (stretching, warping, quantizing, smoothing, FM etc). You can derive your waveform from the wave function with many different equations and value options each of which offers a different sound. Each oscillator has its own independent wave function, energies, potentials and settings. Both oscillators can also be entangled adding a rich and complex modulation of the waveforms. That coupled with an internal modulation system makes this device a powerhouse for insane sound design! From basic synth sounds, to complex evolving sounds, to crazy mind blowing sounds. The evolving nature and very compelling transformations of the waveforms through the quantum wave function stands this synth apart from the many other wavetable synthesizers out there.

Sick! :tu:

That teaser is amazing. Incredible sounds. Watching the walkthrough now. The interface for manipulating the waveforms is quite something. Just when I think I don’t need another synth. Dillon always has an interesting take on things.

Definitely on the top of the M4L list for when I eventually upgrade from Live-9 suite. Way cool!
I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

yeah, the teaser sounds awesome !
The cuts are sick.......LOVE it !

The question for me vs. this Synth is: how much work will it be to create awesome sequenzes working in a DAW ?
The synth is made for p-locking style workflows i´d figure. Just: i to this day never managed to get a p-lock workflow down in SW / Live.

sounds *exactly* where i´m at home with my E370/euro Wavetable sounds.
"That" thru a Natural Gate is utter Gold vs. percussive stuff.

"This Synth" for VCV Rack would be awesome.
And: we NEED to get a Natural Gate clone as a plugin and for VCV Rack.

dope stuff
"Plugin has turned Drug now"....and the business knows it.

That's a fun way to generate waves. Makes me sad (yet again) that I'm not gonna have Ableton/m4l anytime in the foreseeable future.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

Thanks! Not sure what a p-locking is, but to clarify this synth is a polyphonic synth that works with MIDI messages, it doesnt just run with the transport. Each new note creates a new voice at the user designed initialized quantum states and evolves from there (and you have two sources per voice, ie two evolving independent quantum simulations). So you can use it just like any other traditional poly synth workflow in your DAW. Although it is capable of insane and experimental sound design, given that it cycles any wave content at every moment of the quantum simulation it is also completely capable of many standard synth sounds.

Works with Live 10 and up. Cant test on Live9 as I dont have it, if you can get the latest version of Max8 to run on Live9 there is a chance it and many of my devices will work on it but i cant confirm

Cool ^^^ will check that out. :D (TY)

Thanks! Not sure what a p-locking is,
P-locking is a term from the "Elektron" universe.
It means sequenzing + automation, => defining parameter values (as you wish) => per the single step. (you press a specific "Step-button" on the XoX sequenzer, then turn HW knobs to set parameter values for "that step"* ( * set into focus by pressing that step-button). Do so on many, or even all, stepps )

It has been told to me that this is possible with Push2 for example. I´ve had a push2, but i never managed it to get into it.

I bought entanglement now, had a quick test.
Guess i´ll try to sequenze it from my elektron digitakt.
As i thought, this Synth wants to see some automation per step.
( jfyi: i´m NOT a DAW guy. I usually work based on using live-play hosts)

You are Dillon ?
i have a feature request:
these modifier vertical lines, like "Barrier", "Lattice"", etc.
I wish there was a "handle", so we could grab these with the mouse and move them around afterwards.
Not sure if i missed something, but i had to delete these, and then re-add them back by new to relocate them.
the ability to just move them around later with the mouse would be very helpful.....hope it works already and i missed it ? ;)

Gotcha and yea not super familiar with it so i wasnt sure.

As for the feature request, ill jot down maybe dragging the potentials (red lines) to reposition them instead of needing to delete and adding them again. No promises when i'll get it implemented though! Thanks for the support!

The Push 2 can't do true p-locking (discrete per step parameter values) but you can get pseudo parameter locking with the note sequencer in Push 2 which writes a value to the clip automation.

While the sequence is running go into the device mode and hold down that the sequence step in the note sequencer and adjust the value you want to change.

The limitation is that it will write the parameter globally to that step. It works well for monophonic instruments though.

There are m4l sequencers like Rozzer that allow per step parameters.
