Transient shaper advice / Quantum vs Physion

Hello everyone,
I'm going to invest in a transient shaper. I was using the Drum Buss in Ableton until now. Besides the recommendations, that I'd love to hear, my question is, I'm very excited about "multibandish" transient shapers. I'm eyeing the Quantum of Wavesfactory and Physion of Eventide, both looks similar, so if you have any experience with these, I'd love to hear your opinions. Also, I'd like to know that if I get one of these, would I still need a traditional shaper. Looks like I'd not, but still, would be good to hear it (:
All the best and thanks in advance!

Neither Quantum nor Physion are transient shapers.

Don't they split transients from sustains, and also capable of adding effects to them? So, as I get it, they are shapers with additional functionalities. So, if you elaborate, that would help a lot, what am I missing here?

I love Impact by Surreal Machines. There is even a demo that you can try in your browser!

Hello everyone.
I need to resurrect this thread.. It's black friday month, I'm planning to buy one of these, or if there is another recommendation that splits the transients and sustains and effects them. Anyone have experience on these plugins, your input would be greatly appreciated!
All the best and thanks in advance

As said above, dime [tt] is a brand new plugin that let's you use any plugin as an effect on the transient or sustain part.
Another option (if you're just looking to EQ the transient or sustain separately) is Equaliser Pro from Toneboosters. It can do a hell of a lot more too

apulSoft apShaper. Or Voxengo has some interesting options, if you're able to buy them still.

If you use Logic Pro then Enveloper does a fine job. Not multiband though.

I have it, and I also have Articulate from New Fangled Audio and I just find that Transgressor adds weird audio artifacts even when applied sparingly.
Am I just missing something obvious? I'd sure love to see the workflow of someone who is using it successfully.
