I tried it. It's a bit of a CPU hog, but the shimmer and modulations are amazing! It seems like it can even do cool granular cloud effects and modualtions that Infiltrator can't come close to. The only granular FX I have are BLEASS Granulator and Sinevibes Albedo.

I have all the Imaginando products and expansions and I’m also a granular addicted but lately after demoing I decided that unfortunately this don’t add anything really particular that can convince me pull the trigger. It is quite inexpensive and for someone who begins with granular FX could be perfect but in the end it doesn’t convinced me too much.

Changing presets spikes the CPU past 100% in Ableton on a M1 Max MBP.
Nothing particularly exciting, seems to lean heavily on the included effects and shimmer reverb is a tool of Satan.

What coupon are you referring yourself to? The discount is already applied to the price. You don't need a coupon.thecontrolcentre wrote: Wed Apr 09, 2025 8:33 pm The GRFX 25% off Coupon is not valid at checkoutI think I'll pass on this one.

I think I'll pass on this one. I already have Dawesome LOVE for granular and multi-fx stuff, which I got as a free bonus. Also, Molekular and other Reaktor Player instruments/fx are on sale for $18 at Thomann until April 22!

This is a really neat plugin.
Deep but easy to get around. I find it's really good for the more fragmented end of granular processing. It can do the cloudy stuff too but it's great for glitchy stuff.
There's a ton of options for processing, modulation and routing. You can even modulate the modulators for really unpredictable results.
Nice clean interface too.

that dude was my colleague at high school, now that was a surprise! I also don´t think I need a new granular FX, having Portal, Grainspace, Fragments, Graindad and Silo already... it would have to bring really something new to the table, but am intrigued and the price is nice. will see.

I’m partial to grain space, for it’s quirkiness but portal is also dope

Although I have quite a few granular plugins, after testing GRFX I bought it.
I like the interface (except for the fact that I cannot see the X Y modulation as I add it - X/Y modulation has to be carried out in the modulation matrix view, unlike all other modulation in the plugin). The construction of the grains is pretty standard; the ability to modulate is excellent; the routing options are very nice. To me, it seems like a really good "Jack of all trades" granular option which will cover most of my needs.
In essence, I have bought a new plugin which will probably mothball a number of others I have previously acquired. Such is GAS!
