Hi Guys,
Here's my entry :
https://soundcloud.com/user-637213504/black-wink
Took the chance of this occasion to finish a track I started back in april. The synth I used is Synthstrom's deluge. It's a hardware groovebox with huge sequencing capacities. I used My deluge to make the sounds from scratch using it's nice synth engine (Community open source firmware beta 1.3) and to start composing my track. I recorded the stems in bitwig and then used the deluge as a usual HW synth sequencing additionnal tracks in bitwig and recording deluge's output. Using commercial FX was really nice! I made special attention to not copy and paste audio following OSC Rules...
So here it is, Hope you enjoy it!
19 tracks (15 distinct sounds)
Other external plugins :
Apulsoft apQualizer2
Apulsoft apShaper
Apulsoft apVerb
TBProAudio DSEQ3
KHs Clipper
KHs Haas
KHs Compressor
KHs Transient Shaper
U-He Satin
Sonible SmartEQ4
Sonible SmartLimit
Wavesfactory Spectre

Hello friends, here is my last Minute entry, I hope it's still ok to upload here! I had some technical problems with the Soundcloud Uploader and spent the last few hours with trying to upload it there.

Now first of all: Happy 200 OSC's!
I used the JP 7A by GTG Synths, an older Freeware emulation of the Roland Jupiter 6 with 2 oscillators, 1 LFO and 3 Envelopes.

I like to use it in songs and did so often in the last time so I wanted to take the challenge and use it for the OSC. Now I realised it has a few limitations that I only discovered by using it extensively for the challenge. For example that it's missing a real highpass Filter, it has one but it's more a strange kind of bandpass that crossfades into a lowpass at low cutoff frequencies... a nice effect that I used extensively on the reese bassline but difficult to handle in normal sounddesign... there is no way to use only the noise generator without another osc in use and it's also very inconsistent even when oscillator retrigger is active, what showed to be a problem with repeated percussion sounds. Regardless I gave my best to get some useful sounds out of it, e.g. by using Filter self oscillation to make up for the lack of a sine waveform in the oscillators.
I tried to do all sound design as much inside the synth as possible, sometimes by layering multiple instances (mostly with the drums, for example on the snares), sometimes also by detuning a second instance with some other minor tweaks and panning both synths hard left and hard right to get lively stereo sounds (on FX sounds and one pad). The effect plugins were mostly for ambiance design because the JP 7A has neither built in reverb nor delay, and for mixing purposes. The most "extreme" effects that I used were saturation and some mild overdrive on various elements. I used no modulation (and I also didn't feel the need to with that tune, my Synth of choice luckily has a pretty good sounding Juno style Chorus built in which I used on a few patches) and also no external filters aside from equalizing.
The name of my tune is chosen after a plane that forms a major region of the (dwarf) planet Pluto.
I used 23 instances of JP 7A in total inside FL Studio 2024.
Other plugins that I used:
Fruity Limiter on the Master Bus
Airwindows ADClip8 on the Master Bus
Airwindows Channel9 on all Busses and most Channels
Airwindows Console7 on basically all Channels/Busses
Airwindows PocketVerbs on 2 Sends
Fruity Delay 2 as Send and 2 Inserts
5 x Fruity 7 Band EQ
Fruity Bass Boost
3 x Fruity Compressor
Fruity Peak Controller
Airwindows Distortion
Airwindows Elliptical
Airwindows Focus
Airwindows Hype
Airwindows Interstage
Airwindows Luxor
2 x Airwindows Mackity
3 x Airwindows Point
Airwindows Srsly3
2 x Full Bucket Brigade Delay (with the Modulation LFO disabled)
I tried to go for early 00's Techstep D&B style, it was harder than I first imagined to get the sounds out of the synth but the challenge helped me very much with making arrangement choices.
Sadly I got problems with the time because I'm rather busy at the moment and only started late into the month with my final track. It's now much shorter than I wanted it to be and I'm hyped to work further on it after the challenge to expand it and maybe change a few parts to make it a bit more interesting. I hope some of you will still enjoy listenting to it.

Well. I couldn't figure out what synth I wanted to use, or what style I wanted to write until pretty late in the month, and then I got busy with work. Take from that what you will. I used MSoundfactory, but didn't use any sample-based sounds, and also avoided the built-in granular effects.

Reaper 7.44.
20 instances of MeldaProductions' MSoundfactory
3 instances of ReaComp
1 instance of Izotope Ozone 10 (because I was tired, and it was getting late).

Apologies, you see my cat had to go to the vet repeatedly and he's now shaved in various places and on a strict diet! >:(
(according to my math, my cat weighs nearly 2 cats... )
I tried many times to use Synthmaster 3 but alas, it was too involved for me to complete this in the time I had, so I switched to Synthmaster One, a much more streamlined synth.
I often work from init as I did with 19 out of 20 of these instances.
I used free plugins.
Regardless, enjoy this relaxing industrial ditty of dissonance, if you will.
These are my most fun songs, yet tend to place at the bottom of the heap recently. Hmm...

Done voting. It's been a great round with some wonderful surprises. Thanks everyone for sharing your work!
Just in case if someone would think that I am too early with entering my votes: I started listening to most tracks right after their release and since the day before yesterday I spent lots of hours listening thoroughly and respectfully.
