Well - when you are specifically told (and then asked to back up $$$) a new annual updates plan - and then told that the reason for that plan - was to get "MAJOR new features into your hands - faster" (quoting directly from that video I linked) and then those "major" updates fail to materialize - you can see why some of us - feel a bit slighted.jrwaltb wrote: Tue Sep 02, 2025 9:36 pmI don't think this is a fair take on S1. I use Ableton Suite and bounce stems to then mix and mess around in S1 and the new 7.2.2 is really nice IMO. I have used it from version 1 and having both seem to to really help my workflow.
Now - I like v7.2.2 just as much as the next guy - but I can't imagine ANY S1 user dropping $149.00 this past year and thinking what they got for it since Oct 10, 2024 has been earthshaking or game changing in any way.
I guess I fondly look back to the v4, v5 and v6 days of S1 where Presonus would roll out something boring like a "6.1.2" release - which would appear to be just bug fixes on the surface - but would actually have 10 new features thrown in for good measure.
Each to their own - but the v7 cycle has been a dud - plain and simple - espeically when the launch of v7.0 had so much promise.
I still cannot believe it's been a whole year and not a single line of code for the Launcher has been changed.
