Wow. Ricks clean up nicely too

Too bad I already know I would 90% chance loathe it.

I have a matte black Yamaha BB734a that has a similar look. It's a great look.

Yes, agreed. Clapton, Gilmour, Santana, and Beck all changed their guitars less frequently than me, which is frankly embarrassing.
If you haven't already, try to find the auction listing for Gilmour's classic Strat...he butchered the hell out of it over the years, dumb stuff like Kahler trem, routing that was filled in with wood putty...doesn't make me feel quite so bad for all the stupid things I did to some basses/guitars in my earlier years.

I wish I could remember his name. There was this guy who was a true virtuoso playing chord melody jazz and country. Anyway he had this 12 string that wouldn't fit in a case. He sawed off the headstock to make it fit.

Chris Squire put wallpaper on his Rick at one point. Jimmy Page put mirrors on his Tele so he could check out girls while still looking at his guitar. It makes me feel less bad about the time I got super glue on the headstock of my son's guitar when I was swapping out the cheap metal string tree for a low friction one.

Post

Super glue is generally not considered low friction. :P
