Really standard sounds. It is the first process.audio fx that did not impress me.

Got it, thanks for double-checking! And if you ever run into anything that looks like a bug, feel free to drop it here: https://process.audio/en/contact-us?sub ... port-a-bug

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts! 🙏 Totally get it; Filter Factory is the most classic one in our lineup. But don’t worry, we’re already cooking up the next one, and this time we’re going all-in on crazy creativity. 😉🔥
In the meantime, you can still take any of our other plugins for a 30-day free spin to see which ones click.

I was never able to find what was causing it. Gremlins? It started when I added your plugin... but then persisted after I removed it. I had to go get my kid from school so I abandoned looking for it, until today, where I was unable to reproduce it.

I was able to give it a proper demo, though. I do like it. Interesting that you made the video aimed at the dance music crowd, when it seems like such a guitar effect type of thing. It worked great in front of Amplitube. I probably will pick it up at some point, as a lot of Amplitube's wah models suffer from zipper distortion when you're controlling them via MIDI. So weird, because the filter models don't.

This took a little while to grow on me, but won me over in the end. Getting a lot of use as well.

Just have so many filter effects already, but
this one might even get me to dig out my expression pedal.

Thanks, really glad it’s working out for you!

I gave the demo a try and I like the sound of your filters. I agree that it would make a great effect for guitarists, and all of your UI’s are very appealing on my screen. The only reason why I’m not picking up Filter Factory at the moment, is because I already have such a wide range of every kind of filter effect that’s out there.

Although I like the sound, it doesn’t add anything new that I could leverage in my mixes, which is something that I look for in any new plug-in. But I’ll keep an eye on its progress, and if an update adds something that I could use, I’ll definitely revisit the effect.

That being said, I am intrigued by this statement in your reply: “but don’t worry, we’re already cooking up the next one, and this time we’re going all-in on crazy creativity.”

Please give us a couple of hints about your next creative effect, because “crazy creativity” is what interests me THE MOST. A plug-in that’s more extreme, and outside of the box is what’s really exciting to me. Any descriptions and a possible timeframe for release would be greatly appreciated. Thanks process.audio!! 8)

To me the envelope follower is too slow (even on the fastest attack settings) to be useful on drums, plucks etc.

That’s a real shame and makes me choose FilterFreak from Soundtoys over FilterFactory every time. Even though I much prefer ProcessAudio’s GUI design and workflow esthetics.

We can’t spill all the beans just yet 😁 but you can expect our next plugin to be way more experimental and outside the box. Since “crazy creativity” is what excites you the most, you might be exactly the kind of person we’d love to have in on early feedback.

Are you already part of our beta testing crew?

No, I’m not. But I have an Intel-based Mac, and a Mac with an M3 Max processor that I would be willing to test your plug-in with. Please send me a pm with more information, and I’d be happy to help with whatever spare time that I have. :tu:
