Yes, it’s such a unique instrument and I can easily spend hours in the wormhole programming completely unique patches. Then I run that through one of their slick multi-effects for even more audio chaos. Despite its age, it’s still an effective tool to have in the arsenal. As you would say... buy now! :tu:

Last time I tried it, it was pretty buggy. Hmm.. maybe it's time to try it again.

EDIT1: Yeah it's still buggy.
EDIT2: They actually did fix the bug with the sustain pedal! Nice!
EDIT3: They have NOT fixed the 3rd party plugin + Obscurium built in blending/stacking bug. Tool tip says you should be able to blend 3rd party plugin + obscurium synth but that is still not the case. The plugin audio cuts out as soon as you switch to the plugin->osc switch in the sound tab.

When using a 3rd party plugin.

The clock "step mode" is incredibly frustrating as it's not entirely reliable how it triggers. It needs a note-on and a note-off message to go into the next step which makes it unintuitive to play. You get more predictable results using 'legato' mode but that comes with it's own limitations.

The pitch/chord mode is also really difficult and weird and unintuitive to use and also doesn't always retrigger reliably with 3rd party plugins.

Just got this on sale and I wish it had a resizable UI
I think it's the only VST I own now, that has not :)

Its a really great experimental synth. A shame they didnt really update & fix those bugs though. Always thought of Sugar Bytes as one of the most innovative developers around.

I use this in Ableton and I put an Arpeggiator in front of it. Then the "step mode" works to my likes :)

I got this together with UVI Relayer for 40 Euros and I'm really happy so far. But I have to wear my glasses

I didn’t really get on with this, gen I don’t like plugins that host other plugins. Ime that’s never worth the hassle, and very few devs actually do
a satisfactory job at it imo.

maybe you got it a bit earlier. this vst is 10 years old? still fine. music technology hasn't evolved that much. I also use max/msp to build my own interfaces. but this inspires me

well, I don't know if I ever want to only control other VSTs with it. I dig the two synth voices this comes with, already. But I will definitely throw this on Plasmonic and see what happens
