Optional Smoothing, Combinator and Generator per routing entry. Testing took longer than expected. So the "hopefully easter" was a bit too optimistic with that in mind. Sorry for that. That's the reason why naming concrete dates is always a dare.

There will be no silence after either. 1.9.5 should follow much more quickly than usual. The included features are uncertain at the moment. Just a rough set, so the time it takes is also uncertain. Goal being summer/fall. Some keywords: Quantizer + Arp improvements. So anything note/pitch related is the general theme and motivation.
I am still hoping for summer/fall.
Maybe they will skip 1.9 and go straight to 1.95?

I like the sound of rapid. It has a kind of warmth to it. The gui of Rapid is one of my favourite ones. I'm really looking forward to the update, and i hope that the developer knows that there's people out here that really appreciate his effort and passion for creating this synth. It's a real powerhouse as it is now, but with the new mapping/mseg it will become.. even more powerhouse!!

What I like most about Rapid, and I don't know how they do it, is the low cpu.
Compared to a lot of its competitors, it is like Sylenth when it comes to cpu usage.

And with that low CPU sound quality is top notch!!! I love Rapid, use it daily.

My favorite aspect of Rapid is all of the practical sound designing niceties it has. High/low EQ balance on every osc as knobs. Filter models with cheats to help manage brightness. Osc warp modes that let you dry/wet mix with the original unwarped signal. Bundled multi-samples of pre-rendered unison voices. Super response envelopes with very carefully calibrated knob ranges and easily tweakable curves. Oh, wait, no, the best part is you get 8 layers of that.

We can simulate it: "It's not done yet" followed by a bunch of unnecessary, entitled, irate replies. I would also just stay away from posting until it's done, considering how people are treating the developer.
Says the guy making an entitled irate reply.....

I want you to know that you're being a white knight defender for a company that sent this to a paying customer:

Stop simping for people you know nothing about. You're just embarrassing yourself.

Anyone who runs a business needs to have a thick skin, certainly thicker than thier fanbois. Maybe it's because I've been around actually famous people that I don't get star struck by someone just because they can write computer code. Software developers deserve the same treatment you'd give any business. You have a right to voice your displeasure and give praise when warranted to any business. This is something I'm trying to hammer into the concrete bunker thick skulls of the collective KVR mind.
tumface wrote: Fri Aug 08, 2025 4:38 pmI'm not entitled to free feature updates from the developer, because they didn't promise any.
Are you not paying attention? They literally promised an update four months ago:

People are simply asking "what's up with the update"? That's not an unreasonable question. Sure "it's done when it's done" always applies but when is the question. This month? Next month? Right before Black Friday as they always do in their annual cash grab as some people are predicting?

For the record I don't even care about an update. Rapid is a great synth as it is but of course any additions or improvements are always welcome and I never used the word free. I'm more than willing to pay for any updates that I deem worth the price.

Anyway I stand by my stance that it would be nice (and be good for the developer) to have a little communication on the promised updates. If that triggers a fanboi into irate defense mode then so be it.....

Teksonik - I agree with you 100%.

These JOKERS PARAWAVE are happy to take our hard earned cash and promising a bunch of hogwash updates.

But each month, year etc they are not even bothered with communicating with their customers - me being one that paid the now seeming ridiculous amount of 189 EUR for it.

Why do you continue to not listen to your customers PARAWAVE???

Post

Seems to me they should just post that there won't be more updates aside from maybe maintenance and call it a day. There really is no reason they need to do any updates.

You could have waited for their yearly sale for 99 Euro. I didn't buy it in the hope of updates. I bought it because it did everything I wanted from a synth.

Changing presets causes the DAW to become unresponsive and not accessible for a bit.
The more preset hunting you do, the longer the DAW is not responsive for.

I reported this a long time ago. Got no response...
This could be a bug with the plugin undo in Bitwig. Korg multi/poly softsynth does the same thing, so it could be that some plugins are incompatible with the plugin undo in Bitwig.

Post

It’s a problem with Bitwig’s plugin undo system, which they helpfully don’t let you disable :/

I don't know if it's related, but I've encountered a similar experience with Rapid since purchasing a Keylab controller keyboard. I have the same issue (much worse) with Korg Multipoly and G-Force synths (slightly).

The issue for me is with Ableton and can be resolved by configuring the track to save all the parameters the plugin exposes, as explained here (still happens with Live 12): https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/a ... on-Live-11

It´s better now (if not completely solved, tested just shortly) in Bitwig 6!
