No. Just tested it now in a busy project in Bitwig 6 beta 2. GUI freezes for seconds when you change preset in Rapid or Korg multi poly. Real workflow killer. Plugin undo should be optional in Bitwig.Trancit wrote: Mon Sep 08, 2025 7:24 am It´s better now (if not completely solved, tested just shortly) in Bitwig 6!

RE: It´s better now (if not completely solved, tested just shortly) in Bitwig 6!
Nice! But I will be waiting for 6.1 till I enter my next 12 month serial code.
RE: Many other people having the same issue (not just in bitwig)
Might not just be a bitwig issue then.
I had major issues with Omnisphere also (many support people never worked it out), changing presets would lock both the plugin and bitwig for often very long periods of time. Sold omni on kvr.
RE: Someone posted this same issue long ago with no response
I guess this synth is no longer being updated or supported. Seems random updates appear when there is nothing on netflix/prime/etc for long enough.
I think I will stop using it in my projects just encase this is the case. Which is a shame as it's a pretty good synth.

It was the first thing I tested as V6 beta arrived and for me it felt better... haven´t tested in beta 2 though and perhaps not deep enough in beta 1...anoise wrote: Mon Sep 08, 2025 8:08 amNo. Just tested it now in a busy project in Bitwig 6 beta 2. Perhaps it wasn't such a good idea for them to reveal in advance with what they were working on. There is really no obligation for Parawave to release any updates for Rapid in any case, it's not like it's not a fully functional synth as it is. Developers have a life outside of what they develop and things can get really difficult when other aspects of life gets in the way. You are more likely to get a response if you show them some compassion and support. You don't know what is going on in their family life, people within them may be ill and need support. I lost my Dad when in my early 20's for example and it was tough, I won't go into details but try and think before you post. We can and do make mistakes in life, often unintentionally, we can all get frustrated and we can all get depressed which can have adverse effects on ones life. We as humans are not perfect.

The release of 1.9 will be postponed for a while. Not for a long time though. Part of the reason is a relatively late addition of three new modules. Optional Smoothing, Combinator and Generator per routing entry. Testing took longer than expected. So the "hopefully easter" was a bit too optimistic with that in mind. Sorry for that. That's the reason why naming concrete dates is always a dare.
There will be no silence after either. 1.9.5 should follow much more quickly than usual. The included features are uncertain at the moment. Just a rough set, so the time it takes is also uncertain. Goal being summer/fall. Some keywords: Quantizer + Arp improvements. So anything note/pitch related is the general theme and motivation.

1.9 will hopefully be ready by Easter. Almost like .. an easter egg ..
Aside from MSEG there will be two new effect slots. One called Nano Cloud.

yeah but i expect no big version release, maybe like sadly the features are still not ready
well anyways, seems there is always a response and a patch every BF
wondering myself how sales are with nearly no marketing (it seems?)?

Just get PhasePlant and/or Serum2 and be done with Rapid.
And if you want to expand their / any VST's capabilities, use Bitwig for its modulators.
PS. Bitwig and PhasePlant work on Linux.

VPS Avenger and Nexus 5 would be closer alternatives and both are supported by their developers.
Rapid is a great synth but the lack of communication from the developers even though they are well aware of how that upsets their user base makes it a synth I currently do not use in projects.
But hey, Black Friday is fast approaching so the annual sale may happen again. From 2020:

This of course may mean nothing, but does make me go hmmm...
(Mirko either took down or made private the two new version Rapid Demos he had up on facebook).
Though one of them is still up on his youtube page.
I guess with BlackFriday coming up, we will have a better idea what is what.
