Ok, but now tell us how you really feel.

What have VCs got to do with NI?

They're owned by a VC company.

They are owned by 2 PE (Private Equity) companies. Like the main investor in Image-Line.

VC is early stage funding, then generally cash out— Venture.

Did they remove the randomize button in Massive X? I really liked the first Massive for that feature.

It's kinda in the Player view sort of maybe. But tbc, Massive X isn't "the second Massive" despite the name. They are completely different synths with almost completely different features.

Why would they add that? Just because they sell controllers that do it? :x

It's very impressive how hard NI is trying to ruin itself as a brand. They are still one of my most used sets of gear. They're gonna be boned when someone finally makes a better platform than Kontakt.

People have been saying that for quite some time.

Even when someone does make a better platform it's going to take a long time for Kontakt to die out because of the overwhelming amount of kontent out there.
Even if the piano player can't play, keep the party going.

Aren't we already there, how is UVI sampler not as good as Kontakt?

1. It doesn't support multicore
2. It doesn't support background loading
3. It doesn't have nearly the breadth of content available
4. UVI engine is definitely not as efficient with large sample pools as Kontakt is

Uh huh.

I'd prefer they get their shit together. That seems relatively unlikely though.

Ok thanks, I had no idea, I thought it was just point 3.

Then after finally getting it to work properly, having to go through that insanity on a second machine.
Really? Do you have some sht internet?

I've never had any problems like that with NI Access.

I think it's really good actually. Very simple to check and install updates. No logging in, pretty quick to d/l from.
