I have many PA plugins, ssl, Amek and Focusrite consoles, compressors... etc. Really I use only Townhouse buss comp! Really good, low cpu, ease to use.
But, as my opinion - don't buy SSL E or G, or AMEK 9099 or Focusrite SC - its just a beautiful interface, but not the sound.

Lately I've been using The Oven a lot. I've owned it since it was released but it had a nasty crash bug for the longest time but that seems to be fixed now.
It's a really interesting mojo/EQ plugin and takes some time to get used to but it has a peculiar character and a way to get some really nice density and depth to things.

I was expecting something more extreme, particularly given the names of parameters. I found it kind of underwhelming.
But with different expectations and some more patience I think I'll have another crack at it.

I think the original hardware was actually made for mixbus/mastering duties.. but I could be wrong about that. I have pushed it quite hard though. It works quite well for subtle peak control but it doesn't sound all that good when it clearly distorts.

Just got the Vertigo VSS-2. I wanted a buss processor that delivers the classic 'glue' effect. Man this thing does not disappoint.
Hate the interface, but knew what to expect since I own the other Vertigo plugins. The plugins do sound great.
