Hi everyone,

We are glad to announce the official releases of SynthMaster 3 Player and SynthMaster 3 Free Player

Don't be fooled by the "Player" in its name! This is not a ROMpler synth like our SynthMaster 2 Player. It is a stripped down version of SynthMaster 3 tailored towards users who prefer tweaking existing presets over designing sounds from scratch. It comes with all the factory presets of our SynthMaster One, SynthMaster 2 and SynthMaster 3 synths. (FYI: SynthMaster 3 doesn't come with SynthMaster One factory presets!)

There is much more editing available in SynthMaster 3 Player compared to SynthMaster Player: Although layer modules and modulation sources are not accessible, all other parts are editable (Layer voicing, unison, keyboard zones, velocity zones, insert FX, arpeggiator and sequencer)

As I wrote above there is also a Free Player version. It is identical to the paid version except the following 2 limitations:

1. It comes with 500 factory presets (paid version comes with 4450 factory presets)
2. It can not read User Banks saved with SynthMaster 3 (the paid version can)

Oh Ok, have to say however the naming and numbering conventions being used here are massively confusing for end users

You have two products called Synthmaster Player but they are totally different products, one is a Rompler and the other isn't

Most people would assume that Synthmaster Player 3 is just an upgraded version of Synthmaster Player 2 not a totally different product

I haven't installed it yet as it just became available with the latest Gig Performer Pro update 5.1.4 that came out a week and a half ago.

You might want to talk with the good people at Deskew Technologies because all of the marketing around it just refers to it as Synthmaster Player, and it's confusing as hell that you get Player 2 which is totally different than Player 3, when both of them are called Synthmaster Player

My bad, I shouldn't have said "totally different product", sorry. You are correct, SynthMaster 3 Player is an upgraded version of SynthMaster 2 Player with more editing features + more content.

I'm not able to finish the registration process. I paste in the serial number that has been emailed, but when I click the Register button it just re-sends the number instead of registering the plugin.

Running MacOS 10.15.7. Logic Pro 10.6.3.

After you paste the serial please hit the enter/return key to make sure the value is entered. Let me look into this and fix it.

EDIT: I fixed the issue (so that user doesn't have to press return/enter key), will be in the next build tomorrow. Thanks for the bug report.

Thanks. I found that pressing enter/return fails as well.

It worked well for me, but I’m using a PC.
