Seems like an interesting app to use to get ideas down and send to band members. But listening to the 'voices' I thought most if not all were useless and did not fit in a rock setting. Even the 'rock' voices were ridiculous. Are there 3rd party voices out there that are better than what's available on Dreamtonics website ?

HXVOC seems to be a real good one for rock.
(i do have Synth V studio 2 Pro, and some voices, but not HXVOC. the eclipsedsounds voice are stellar, in my opinion.)

Never heard of it. If they sell sounds as add-ons rather than just letting you make them, that's not my cup of tea at all regardless of whatever else is going on there. Does it have midi out? You could just trigger another sound source if it's a good writing tool and you don't enjoy the sounds it makes.

Heard a good track on a forum, where the producer was very enthusiastic about this plug. I saw/heard some demo video's and I am more than interested.

I do have HXVOC, and you can use it for rock and metal. You can make the voice raspy and growl. Sounds sometimes a bit weird when soloed, but works in a mix. The only actual rock voice so far - all the others are much more pop or dance oriented. Dreamtonics also released a new Liam voice that is supposed for rock, but it’s much tamer than HXVOC. Works for specific uses, though.
The Eclipsed sounds voices are usually more specialized and high quality, whereas Dreamtonics is a bit more „middle of the road“. In general, I like their female voices a bit better than the males, that sound a bit too „teen“ for my taste.

Audiologie do some good voices. Anri Arcane is by far the best one, IMO. Below is a good demo. The music's horrible but it showcases the voice well.

The Audiologie voices are good, and Anri is lovely - but it's certainly not a rock voice. It's good for (K-/J-)Pop. Their other two male voices are a bit different from the Dreamtonics ones, and might fit in a more pop-rock context. However, they are not useful for any harder styles - there, HXVOC is still the only choice IMHO.
(For context: I own pretty much every English speaking voice bank for Synthesizes V Studio 2, so I can compare, based on first hand experience, not just the demo songs.)
Another option is using HXVOC and then apply a voice changer software like Sonarworks AI to get a different tone (their new rock voices are pretty good, but they will only replace an existing one). Actually, Synthesizer V Studio 2 and Sonarworks AI (or something like Vocoflex) complement each other nicely, as you get much more tonal variety with them - SVS2 is great as a composing tool, and the voice changer is useful to get different singers with the exact same melody line and phrasing.
