I’m going to write down the symbols this weekend and get started with something.vurt wrote: Fri Sep 19, 2025 8:07 pm played around with the latest reel iteration.

What "symbols"? ... congrats on the Hiss'n'Roar thing.

Thank you!
From the Terence Dwyer book, he writes notation specific to working with tape. And then there’s an example of what a 2-channel score could look like

Ah... curious. (TY) I must have missed a MN video, assuming that is where this was mentioned. A touch too visually 'busy' for the limitations imposed, for my tastes. I'll pass.

ill be watching again, and can ask walker in person, but are those just ideas for how to write scores? or can we devise our own or use ones we have seen in the past?

i "think" that was just an example for anyone not used to pictorial scores, i dont think its compulsory?

First time finishing something DaVinci Resolve, so lots of tutorials along the way for a quick take.
All sounds created from a printer printing paper, and the directive was to get a robot to the dance floor, make them dance, and then malfunction.
Some great entries in there. I now wish I did some of it differently, but on to the next!![]()

And here’s the link below. Some nice stuff. All different takes which makes it more interesting, or at least I think so.

Probably not? I would think the goals is more about making sure the next person can perform the score more than the symbols used.vurt wrote: Fri Sep 19, 2025 10:06 pmwas this weeks, with the current list of sounds.Shabdahbriah wrote: Fri Sep 19, 2025 9:56 pm Ah... curious. I cleaned. I have several small microfiber cloths that work well for dust in between knobs etc. and then I hand wash those and continue. I have plastic drop covers, but dust still accumulates. I had forgotten to dust before the last video, but I didn’t notice it on too much.

I setup some new templates in Live to get myself going, plus updated some layouts in ProCreate (iPad App).
I don’t get to keep all my stuff out all the time, so I make these little setups in ProCreate using layers to turn on/off different arrangements.
This is important for when the brain wants to groove, but doesn’t want to remember where to plug things in.
*And I ordered a customized vinyl sticker for the patchbay, so that’ll help too.

That’s really cool! I used to sketch out routing like that and found it really helpful to visualize signal flow. I’ll need to give it a try.
