Is it just me, or is there no easy way to map a macro knob to MIDI, such as with a "MIDI learn" function?
Or do I really have to add a MIDI CC modulator at the bottom, assign a CC number to it (turning a certain knob on the controller), and then connect this MIDI CC modulator to the macro knob? That's not true, is it?

I think I just found the easier way. Right-click on the macro knob and then click on "click to bind." (I'm just not used to this phrasing for MIDI learn!waxdoctor wrote: Sun Sep 21, 2025 6:13 am Is it just me, or is there no easy way to map a macro knob to MIDI, such as with a "MIDI learn" function?

Side note, but I find it quite annoying when devs use non-standard terminology for standard things. Bitwig does this a bit with things like a triplet grid being called "triole" and your Phase Plant example. Similarly, keytracking modulator getting described as "note". I get the logic but it's just never great when you need to spend any amount of time defining terms. Native Instruments do it s bit too.waxdoctor wrote: Sun Sep 21, 2025 6:31 amI think I just found the easier way. Right-click on the macro knob and then click on "click to bind." On topic, I'm wondering what uses people have for the upper/Lower limit modulators. I use upper limit when I've got an LFO modulating filter cutoff but also a macro mapped to the cutoff. It always sounds shitty to sweep the cutoff up and havr the LFO modulate up into really shrill higher frequencies so I will use the upper limit modulator to set a reasonable maximum. The other option is to also have the the cutoff macro slowly reduce the LFO amount with a remap modulator which is in many ways a better solution. I just felt like I was ignoring these modulators and tried to find a use for them.
Curious what uses people have for these mod sources.
