CC control of pick style

I am using your acoustic 12-string and would like ""CC control" of Pick Style. This allows me to specify up/down strokes which, for a 12-string, makes a subtle but important difference in the sound. It determines which strings gets struck 1st, the high string or the low string. Economy Picking seems to usually work well enough, but I'd like manual control of the up/down strokes just to be sure of the realism.

I'm using Studio One and I discovered when I want to add a control to the "CC lanes" at the bottom of the Edit Window, I can select all sorts of things presented to me by the VSTi. Currently, I use Position (there are 2, use #81 the one close to "Capo") to select where on the fretboard I want to play. I use this to dynamically move up and down the neck by automating the neck position. This is more intuitive/readable than assigning a CC#.

I want to do the same thing with pick style, but I can't seem to get it to work. I can see all the available controls by enabling Kontakt's side view and looking at the Host Automation tab. I have found these:

#89 Style
#90 Modeling
#91 Position (this is the "other" position from the one mentioned above)
#92 Pick

but they don't seem to change anything when I add them to the CC lane and automate them. (By the way - I wish there was a longer decryption for all these controls).

So then I enabled CC learn by dragging Kontakt's CC2 (breath control) over to Pick Style. In Kontakt's side view I see CC2 is indeed assigned to Style - Evolution Jumbo 12. But when I automate CC2, the Pick Style doesn't change. I think I'm doing it right because these same two procedures work on Fretboard Position.

Do you have any ideas how to proceed? I'd like to automate Pick Style.

Never mind. I had to restart the project for the automation to take affect.

I'm not sure why restarting caused the automation to start functioning, but I'm glad to hear you got it to work!
