Video:

- Highly customisable levels of saturation, featuring mulitband and mid-side processing, using up to 10 separate clipping stages.
- A pre/post emphasis stage for advanced tone control of the distortion.
- Large selection of static and variable clipping sigmoid functions to choose from, including the brand new ‘super soft knee’, providing a variable knee transfer curve in the decibel domain.
- A modern all new modular, fully resizable GUI. Almost all components can be popped out into separate floating windows to give you an extra level of control.
- A brand new interactive live shaper visualisation.
- Multiple new visualisations to choose from, all resizable to preference: shaper, waveform, oscilloscope, envelope, spectrum and histogram views for each clipper.

Oh, sweet. are linear phase crossovers currently an option? I looked at the listing on the site and the manual and it doesn't specifiy the order of filters or phase summation type

Interested to try this, tho I never really got on with the first one. I just had so many clippers
already.

:x I really hate when marketers dont put prices on their marketing content. I know they are fishing for clicks. It's ridiculous. For those that want to know its $60 USD to save you having to click to get this info which should have been included in the OP. :x

I wanted the first one to replace KClip, but I couldn't deal with the tiny interface that couldn't be resized. This I'm interested in, but probably only for the resize. Not sure if that's worth $30 to me.

This 'is' pretty nice, though I've still got it pretty well covered I think. Maybe I'll grab it during a sale. :tu:

Hi TIMT, the crossover is a Linkwitz-Riley type. While not strictly linear phase, it does ensure the filters are in phase at the crossover points with overall in phase summation and a flat amplitude/frequency response. An option to select different crossover types, including a pure linear phase crossover, can certainly be considered an option for future updates. Hope this helps.

Hi plexuss, thanks for alerting us to such an oversight in our post. We should also mention it’s only $30 for existing V-Clip 1 owners.

How about being clear and upfront with the Copy Protection ?
The KVR page says "Key File" and the manual don't even mention what it is, neither do your site...

Since I know v1 have Challenge/Response I didn't trust the KVR and had to download the demo and launch it to get the information that it is a Challenge/Response...(online activation or manual C/R activation for offline)....

not gonna lie, you got my hopes up...

The copy protection is absolutely key file based. The online activation is only to initially generate and save an encrypted key license file which is stored locally, which will then always unlock the plugin whether online or offline. The 'offline' activation, as you saw, is an alternative way to get the key file generated without having to connect V-Clip 2 to the internet.

It is shame I only use 1024 x OS for clipping

Pretty good solution actually.

Are saying this Key File that get generated is not locked to the hardware/Machine ID ?

For obvious reasons I don't want it go into too much detail on how the copy protection works, but the key file is unique to the machine (otherwise it could be copied and used anywhere, and would hence not be copy protected).
