The reason Tony hasnt introduced his EQ to the World; is that the World aint ready for it yet.

Why is he not making a delay instead. Vintage digital. His reverb is so good. Nobody uses EQ nowadays. EQ sounds dated

Thats true; EQs messing with the phase of your sound and so are destroying it. You should only use a high pass with a gentle slope.

But who would want to tell this to the average KVR prosumer, still in love with their latest Plugin purchase. Thats mean, very mean. :?

Make Delay Great Again!

I feel so conflicted with this one. On one hand I want to support TAL, but on the other hand I don't want to incentivize weird-ass decisions like this one.

The TAL dev has started to wear super baggy trousers. Makes his arse look really weird.

What a nonsense. Not everything is about you.

There are people who are switching to Linux and are very happy to have a high quality native EQ options now. As one of them, I can assure you that his decision to make an EQ is very, very welcome here and I bought it the moment it was out.

There are new people coming into audio world, every single day and they do not have any EQs yet.

And so on, and so on.

So if it's not for you, just don't buy it and stop making it about you.

TAL went to challenge and response? Really? That's too bad. For me, the bar for a plugin being worth bothering with, if it uses challenge-response or online activation, is much higher, because the challenge-response will eventually stop working. I don't think any of the TAL plugins clear that bar, for me.

I've been burned by online activation (yes, that includes going through another computer connected to the internet) many times now, and I'm extremely conservative about adding tools to my collection that require it. Other than the DAWs themselves, the only ones I use right now with online activation are Serum 2 and the Korg plugins. The D16 plugins also require it, but you can save the activation response for reuse on the same hardware, AFAIK. I liked the TAL stuff I used in the past because it was lightweight and kinda felt carefree to use, cheap and cheerful. Online activation ruins that. Oh well.
