That looks really cool, and fun. Will it work in Live 9 (w/Max4live)?matissev wrote: Wed Jul 19, 2023 3:31 pm
Get them here : https://matissev.gumroad.com/l/tapes
Note that they only work in Ableton Live though.
Best to you all,

Helisert is a new one on me. Looks like a lot of fun. CheersCrandnew wrote: Thu Mar 23, 2023 8:41 am Helisert by Kentaro (https://szk-1992.gumroad.com/l/Jyhsi). It is kind of a 1 second rolling buffer, with read speed of each second illustrated by the hz playback rate control. So 2 hz playback on a 1 second buffer would be 200% tape speed. I sometimes use helisert as it has a crossfade control, where as time shaper does not, which might be useful on small buffers. It also has some cool stuff like the ability to freeze the buffer, and add feedback.

These tools are something I have yearned for in the past. They always feel like they have potential but you are let down by lack of logical control to produce effects that actually work, timed/musically sensible / tricky to easily automate etc. In the end I tend to program 1/2 time or tape stops. I have also used Glitch 2.0 - generally you have to stop production and focus pretty hard on these specific tricks for what is usually a few seconds of interest.
It is worth being aware of potential for clicks and glitches in your audio.
I have a very old version of Reaper which does not get used for much but they have a slider which changes pitch/tempo of audio in the time line globally, that is quite nice. As you could automate it and bounce it and take that audio into another DAW. I wish that was in all DAW's.

Not a VST, but Native Instruments Traktor does this. This is their DJ software. They have a free version. I've used it, works well.

The intended use might be a little different, but I'm a game sound designer and I developed the plugin at the link below because I wanted to easily automate the playback speed of specific tracks.
https://www.kvraudio.com/product/chrono ... taku-audio
It has a maximum 30-second cyclical buffer, so I think it would be difficult to process an entire song, but I'd be happy if you'd give it a try.

Any possibility of this being released as an AU? Thankskita971 wrote: Fri Sep 26, 2025 11:57 am The intended use might be a little different, but I'm a game sound designer and I developed the plugin at the link below because I wanted to easily automate the playback speed of specific tracks.

Thanks for your interest! I was originally focusing on VST3 and CLAP, but I'll be working on an AU version for the next release.

Just released v1.1.0, which adds support for AU and AAX (macOS only). Hope you like it!morphex wrote: Sat Sep 27, 2025 12:20 amAny possibility of this being released as an AU? I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Sound Forge elastique Timestretch with no artifact bpm changes. You can change pitch with it if you like or leave it at pitch and just change bpm.
I just used this on a project, under 10 bpm up or down change is completely clean and undetectable.
